We came in for an early dinner. Our appetizer, the spring rolls were light and crispy. I had the grilled shrimp and my husband had the bacon- wrapped , crabmeat stuffed shrimp. Both were excellent. The restaurant has great ambiance. You can also dine inside or out. We will be back!
This is our second time visiting Harbor Docks. We love the sushi, it’s delicious. But on this visit we waited 15 mins for a waiter to come to our table and take our order. I even alerted the hostess that we hadn’t been waited on after 10 mins. It wasn’t even that busy. They did comp a mimosa for our wait. But after we ate, it took an additional 10 mins to get our check. The manager walking around did not come over to address the issue. He did walk over to check on us later, as he was doing with all tables, but never did apologize for the extensive wait. I’m not sure we’ll be back.
I went a couple of months ago on Mother's Day. Waited an inordinate amount of time on my order, which was not hot. Noticing some kind of white cream on a french fry, closer examination revealed the bottom of my food was swimming in cream from the cole slaw. In my younger days I would have walked out without paying, but instead of looking forever for my waitress, or giving the manager an earful, I swallowed hard and did the only honest thing I could think of: I left 24 dollars- the amount of the check- under my glass of cola, and walked out. My advice is to avoid this place for awhile, until they're completely over the pandemic and this current employee crisis. If my food is cold at Captain D's, that's one thing. At these prices, I don't deserve it. I left two stars instead of one
Highly recommended! Went on a recommendation from our parasailing captain. Sushi was amazing! Ordered the D.O.C. and it was worth every single penny! Wish we would have known about this place earlier in our trip so we could have gone again!
Delicious food, excellent service. I only recommend that they should renovate the bathrooms. But hands down, the best food in Destin
We came here for dinner, and the view was incredible. Our waitress was friendly but not very attentive. My husband ordered from the kitchen while I ordered sushi. I understood it was two separate kitchens, but I wish there were better communication regarding the wait difference. My husband's food came out roughly 30 minutes before my sushi, which was frustrating. The food was good and there was a wide selection of drinks.
First you go in and if your complete party is not there, they won't seat you! Make sure everyone is with you before you go!! It's not like I was going to sit and wait and tap my fingers.. I was with someone and we were going to order drinks for us and appetizer! When 3rd person showed up in a matter of minutes, we were seated. They're priority here is is purely greedy. If you get the blonde, thin waitress with straight hair, make sure you move your lips so she can read them and speak loudly. We requested the Backdown Sushi 3 times!..3 Times and she never got it. She just smiled blankly and like a robot, scooted on. What we did get was 3 bowls of gumbo that was lukewarm. It was cool by the time we finished it. Later we were then handed our check (without getting the sushi) and waitress didn't ask if we wanted anything else! I asked my family members for her! I asked," would you like another dish or dessert"? I used to be a waitress. They don't make (many of them) like they used to. You pay much more for much less and it's money season...not tourist season!
The service is really helpful! I got the summer roll and it was absolutely delicious! With my sushi I was also given low sodium soy sauce which I though was amazing since I am watching what I eat. I would highly recommend anyone to come here. There is also outdoor seating but we were not able to sit there since it was raining outside. Super delicious!!
We stopped as a total fluke because they didn't look too busy, and they had a waterfront view. Just a group from out of town looking for a quick bite for lunch. Great vibes! Laid back, comfortable atmosphere, roomy tables, and accommodating staff made the visit wonderful. The amazing food and great views made it simply spectacular. I asked the waitress for her two favorite sushi rolls. She replied without hesitation and I said to give me that. I will travel back to Florida just for those rolls. Seriously amazing!
Fantastic little place almost hidden in Destin off the main drag. It serves surf and turf full menu and a sushi menu as well. Everything I tried was fabulous and a definite must try for anyone visiting. Outside patio seating overlooking the bay as well
