I NEVER leave reviews, I just think this place could do better. If I could leave a -5, I would. This was the worst place we have ever ate!! For starters the waitress was HATEFUL, just down right rude wouldn't bring our girls salsa when they asked 3 times she really could care less about waiting on us. Next our food came out and EVERYTHING was cold. Took 30 mins to get our food and then it was cold. I would NEVER tell anyone to eat here EVER!!!!!!!!!!! Then we get our bill and she got a 17 tip for doing a crappy job. WORST PLACE EVER.
The margaritas are big and oh so delicious.The Peach was really good. They didn’t have Don Julio so we had shots of Patron. The birria tacos were basic-the meat was dry and my corn tortillas were ripped due to not doubling them. I had to wrap a flour tortilla around it so my filling wouldn’t fall out. I also had to to ask extra birria sauce because they give you a small bowl of it. My partner had the ribeye which was huge but was not cooked to her liking. Great chorizo queso and loved the spicy salsa. Will definitely stick to their tres amigos and quesadillas for now on. Great service from waiter and the bartender was friendly overall.
After leaving Big Kahuna water park, we decided to shower then go shopping at the Destin Commons. We were planning on doing a small quick shopping trip then heading to eat at Margaritaville but changed our minds and wanted to shop there all afternoon. We looked on the directory board for food and decided to try El Jalisco. They didn’t disappoint!! The food was so delicious and full of flavor, and that says a lot because we are from South Louisiana! The portions were great size too! Our waiter made sure we were taken care of and everything was to our liking. The quesadilla was unlike anything I’ve tried at other Mexican restaurants before, all other quesadillas are generally a fajita steak and cheese, however this was seasoned ground meat and gooey cheese in the tortilla. It may not sound like it by my description, but it was incredible! We will definitely be back to eat here when we are back in Florida shopping at Destin commons!!
Cool, clean place. Staff was extremely friendly. Our waiter was amazing. The food was reasonably priced for large portions. Beer was 2 for 1. Everything was good and came out very fast. Would definitely recommend.
Great margaritas and live music. Food was fantastic too. Service was excellent. Great family spring break dinner! Will do again.
Omg! Poorest service in Destin, FL. Sat at the bar tonight. The bartenders were in chaos. Poor bar management. After a long 15 minute wait to even be asked if we wanted a drink. Never offered us a menu. The Margaritas were not good. But cost $15 each. Had pulp in our drinks. Had to ask for a menu. Then never asked by the bartenders if we wanted to place food order. Another 15 minutes ticked by and no service. Decided to pay tab and leave. Ridiculous had to flag down a waiter on the floor to get our tab. I understand that it was a Friday night and they were busy. but that is no excuse for horrible service! Save your time and money go to Pedro's off 98 just down the road for Great Service, Friendly Staff, Awesome Margaritas, Good Prices!!!
Live music, sat outside, volume was perfect. Chica Fresca was divine. Highly recommend tortilla soup. Best date night in years
Fantastic Mexican restaurant. Very clean. Always friendly staff. We travel from Gulf Breeze for the delicious drinks. Ron is a sweetheart. Cheese enchiladas are the best I’ve had in GB or Pensacola! Tried the Birria tacos and puff tacos today. Both were delicious. Always a fantastic place to stop for a bite when shopping or drinks! Have outside seating, as well.
Came here while out shopping with my mother in law. She is really allergic to limes so I made the waiter aware of that. The manager then made sure that all staff was aware of her allergies which was greatly appropriated!! The server was sure nice and made the guacamole right in front of us. All the ingredients were fresh and the food was the best mexican food I have had in a long time. I had vegetarian chalupas and loved them. Loved the music and the atmosphere as well plus we got 2 for 1 beers for only $8! Will definitely be back :)
AMAZING SERVICE! My daughter in law and I found this restaurant while walking around the shops in Destin Commons and it was the best Mexican food we've ever had. We ordered quacamole as an appetizer and they made it fresh in front of us. I am really allergic to limes so the manager made sure to make all the staff aware of that. The chicken taco salad and the vegetable chalupas tasted amazing and the ingredients were fresh. We also got 2 for 1 beers for $8. Can't wait to go back again.
