OK, first of all, go EARLY!!! After 5:00pm the wait line starts to develop and after 6:00pm it is over one hour long. Must try Dinners; Hot Crab & Shrimp Dip for an appetizer - the pita chips are the best option for the dip! Shrimp Po Boy sandwich was very good - the bread was the hit! Bronzed Grilled Shrimp - best grilled shrimp EVER! Southern Style Crab Cakes - the crab cakes were very good, lots of crab. The fried green tomato takes up to much of the sauce and loses its crispy outer layer. Crab Trap Mahi - was a huge hit with two of our party. The Mahi Mahi was cooked to perfection. OF COURSE - the Raw Oysters were FRESH!!!!!! Service was great - very attentive and helpful! Two of our party went the day before for Crab Legs and said that they were the best they ever had tasted, the butter was perfectly prepared for the crab legs. Price were a little higher compared to other places this week, but the food was GOOD! This was an amazing place with a beautiful beach setting. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Probably not the best option for children though.

The Crab Trap Destin is located on the beach, and the view is unbeatable! We got the crab dip, which was delicious, and I highly recommend it. The parking can be a hassle, depending on when you go to the restaurant. I would suggest going a little earlier. We went around 4:30 pm, and we were seated right away. The staff was very friendly and attentive.

I like hot, spicy food but too much spoils the dish and that’s what happened here with catch of the day and shrimp skewers. For some reason fresh catch comes “bronzed” only not grilled. Mixed veg was under filled broccoli and no fans running in warm dining area. Much better food and drinks are available for less.

We had our first ‘meal on the beach’ as we were on our way to PCB. Beautiful location, friendly and attentive staff. Our daiquiris really didn't seem to have alcohol in them, thus overpriced. Our lunches were good but then again, our total was more than one should pay for a lunch on the beach.

The Crab and Shrimp Linguine was the best meal I had my entire trip to Destin. I used all the bread to soak up the sauce because I couldn't leave it behind. My husband had the Captain's Platter and he loved it. We also had the Smoked Tuna Dip, the smoky flavor was great and not overpowering. Our waiter Zachary was the best. He was attentive and friendly without being overbearing. The location right on the beach is fun, you can have great views while waiting and dining. We will definitely be back on our next trip.

great service and seafood

This was better than anticipate. We had just rolled into town to stay at a condo and arrived too early, but hungry. We did not want to spend a fortune on a lunch our first day in town, so we drove to the nearby Crab Trap. Our waiter, Lis, was very helpful and took good care of us. He answered our questions well. My wife tried the fried local gulf shrimp with fries and slaw. I had the fish BLT sandwich, although I wasn't sure about bacon on fish! Lis said that I would enjoy it, and I did! We are picky about slaw, liking one that is not sour and not too runny. This slaw was perfect to our liking. The French fries were even pretty good. My wife said that her shrimp was really good, as well. We ordered off the lunch specials menu and it was a reasonable price. Their other meals were expensive, but so are most here in Destin, where food is ridiculously over-priced.

Food was meh, the “Applebees” of seafood. The staff was excellent though with great service. Great view of the beach and the beer was cold.

absolutely delicious every time we go

Everything we ordered was delicious!! My personal fav is the crab and shrimp dip with pita chips. We always leave satisfied and content??
