Delicious caramel apples rolled in peanuts! A little something for everyone. Chocolate, taffy, novelty candy, truffles, gifts, jewelry and more. This is a busy, working store but we found the staff to be very kind.
What a great place! All the treats are extremely fresh. My family got a wide selection of several different things and everything was delicious. You could definitely tell that everything was fresh and recently made. Also, the price is extremely reasonable. I have been to plenty of places not even close to the beach and they charge way more. This place is extremely affordable. The people that work there are also very friendly and will answer any questions you have about their selection. Definitely will be coming back anytime we visit!
Ask for maple fudge, was told “our owner doesn’t like maple so he won’t let us make maple.” If you want chocolate there is plenty of chocolate fudge with flys on it.
Felt like a 100 year old candy shop but with the old and new. Really cool, prices not outrageous. Lots of unique gift items in addition to the ice cream bar, candy walls, fresh chocolate coated treats, everything was really good quality. The staff were nice and attentive. Parking was easy and they were not busy. If you have kids this is a great spot to hit.
This candy store was lots of fun! They have all kinds of different things for everyone. The chocolates are amazing! Even some cool souvenirs to purchase. I was really shocked when I saw Zoltar, and it works!
Just stopped in to check this store out. Fantastic selection of a variety of sweets. Salt water taffy a real winner. Fresh made in house and the vanilla was the best. Friendly service and a great spot for Destin. Congrats to the long time owners!!!
Sweet store (pun intended)! Sitting in a hotel room on Christmas Eve alone, but I’ve got white chocolate coconut and peppermint bark that are truly wonderful. Wish Santa (aka moi) had bought me more!
Great chocolate goodies! I have bought a chocolate covered strawberry everyday! Cute collectibles too. The key lime chiffon truffle is amazing. The taffy is delicious. It is off season and everything is fresh.
I used to love Candymaker when they were located at Destin Commons. Was always sad they moved out of that location. I took my kids there for several years for the caramels and taffy’s. I live out in Navarre and was driving through Destin yesterday to get some Christmas decorations. As I was driving I saw a Candymaker billboard and decided to make a detour. I bought a lot of taffy’s, a couple bags of caramels and a few different flavors of jelly belly’s. The taffy’s are like half the size as they used to be. Some pieces were even smaller than that. In addition, the taffy is very hard, almost like it’s been sitting out for a long time. They are still delicious though. The caramels were always good and still are. The jelly belly’s I think are old. I’ve never had a hard jelly belly until yesterday. The kids won’t even touch them. I will definitely come back, but I will wait until the summer when it’s busy season and there is a higher turnover of product
