Front desk people were very nice. Waiter was also nice. Entrees do not include any sides. We ordered garlic bread as an appetizer and got two small pieces for our party of three at a cost of $5.99. We are locals but won't be suggesting Bubba's to visitors.....there are dozens of other restaurants to choose from in Destin.
We had a wonderful experience! We had a party of 7 and sat immediately at 5pm on a Wednesday. Our server was great and kept our drinks full. Our food was well seasoned and hot, fresh! The peel n eat shrimp in beer was disappointing with how small the shrimp were but other than that, everything else was fantastic!
The scampi pasta was made just right! I don't like heavy butter "presence" in my pasta , this dish was just ligth( not in calories) , garlic combined with the shrimps..match made in heaven. Fun experience!
The Mac and cheese was very delicious. The salmon melt in your mouth and the shrimp was very delicious. 30 minutes wait but we’ll worth it.
Our kids were overly excited about eating here, we had watched Forrest Gump a few weeks earlier. We waited an hr and a half just to get seated. Waited over an hr for our food which out of 5 plates 3 were wrong and they completely forgot one. Server was at best new…maybe. Management was poor and really rude to the table behind us so we just chose not to engage with her. Needless to say it was a huge let down.
The service and food were great! The salmon was delicious and ribeyes were very juicy. We will definitely come back here when we visit Destin again
Casual seafood dining with great staff. Food was good but portions small. People who ordered fries and steaks got big portions so maybe it was my particular dish. Beers a little slow to get to us but they had the bartender bringing out drinks in addition to managing the bar. Decor is awesome and takes you back to the movie Forrest Gump. Located on the highway. You can't miss it. Recommended.
You go here for the experience NOT the food!!!! The food was bland. The mixed drinks were good and you get a souvenir cup when you purchase one, which is neat .We waited over 30 minutes for someone to ring us up at the gift shop, having to leave everything behind because no one ever showed up. Like I said, if you’re coming here it’s for the experience as the whole restaurant is decorated with “Forest Gump” memorabilia, do not expect A1 food.
Great experience and great food, the decor is definitely an ode to Forrest Gump which is a nice touch for any fan. We had the surf and turf, mahi mahi and shrimp , as well as the jack Daniel's salmon. We all enjoyed our food items as well as the mango jalapeño specialty drink , in which we got a souvenir cup.The one thing my family found odd was that they DO NOT serve Dr.Pepper. Which was Forrest Gumps favorite soda, as well as our sons. Oh well maybe they'll fix that one day. Anyway, enjoy the food and the decor.
We can't seem to get enough of the Garlic/Cajun Shimp. We now search to see if there is a Bubba Gump Shrimp restaurant before selecting destinations lol. The one in Destin was so much fun, this is where our son wanted to go for his 10year birthday and the waitress got the ENTIRE restaurant to sing to him and it was so heartfelt! She was awesome. The bar tender gave both boys free Icees. Go hear if your in Destin
