We had a great experience on Saturday at 5pm, got one of the last tables (then moved to bar due to cigarette smoke) and last parking spots which proves how popular it was. Great drink specials and DELICIOUS food! We got the mussels, oysters, and a couple tacos. Would highly recommend!
Decided no frills here, but super fresh and delicious oysters and cold beer right in the water. At first glance it didn’t seem particularly kid friendly, but it sure was once we got in an got seated. Can’t speak to the rest of the menu, but definitely would come back for a drink and a snack.
Not good at all!! We got the seafood boil for $110 and it was COLD. After waiting 45 minutes for our food….Came out ice cold! We had to beg for crackers and forks to get our crab legs. We realized after we left we never even got our shrimp! Ugh. Service was very bad & no one cleaned off tables. The drink I had was absolutely awful as well. Do not go here.
This little gem is located in the Destin harbor. Far enough away from 98 to feel like you in the back country and yet you are in the heart of it all. Every town deserves a bar like this. You will always find a good band and a cold beer here. In Texas we call this a honky tonk but here it’s a good harbor bar. The oysters are always delicious.Describing this place by just outlining the physical attributes just doesn’t cut it. This place has two bars with great bartenders that keep the beers and liquor flowing. The heartbeat of this place is the patrons that visit it on a regular bases. This spirit here is full tilt fun. On any given night you can expect a wide array of patrons. This is a must go to place. This is for the person that inquired about when the kitchen stops serving. The kitchen closes at 9 pm.
Best oysters in all of the area. Started my trip here and had to go again before leaving the area. It is that good.
We tried every restaurant we could while in Destin. This was by far our favorite. The peel and eat shrimp in their special soak was off the charts. The steamers were fantastic too. It’s the only restaurant we went to more than once .
Onion rings are to die for. Light and flaky crust with fresh onions. The trout is excellent melt in your mouth. Smoked green beans is delicious. Excellent ambient with outdoor seatings. Price is average scale for seafood restaurant.
Went there and had a good time. Two days later returned and it wasn’t crowded and the service was horrendous. Would not recommend!
I gave this place a bad review in 2019. It once was my favorite place to stop in for oysters in all of Destin in the early 2000s. Everyone deserves a 2nd chance, and we stopped in last week to give them another go. Never again. Mid-afternoon. The place was nearly empty. The service was nearly non-existent. We waited over 20 minutes just for someone to take our order after being seated. I decided to try a cheeseburger as I didn't have a lot of hope for their seafood based on the last experience. The Mrs had the fish of the day sandwich. We were told it was grouper (it wasn't, I know my fish, see below). My 18.00 cheeseburger was a frozen patty from a box with a slice of American cheese on a GFS bun with fries on the side also out of a box. Sad. 18 bucks. Her "fish of the day" sandwich was tilapia, and if I had to guess I would say it was out of a box as well. It was NOT grouper, and if it were hand-breaded, they need to work on their breading. 29 bucks. We eat had a beer. Total was 57 bucks before tax and tip. For 2 sandwiches and 2 domestic bottles. Not going back. I understand the rent there must be crazy high, but your food and service do not warrant the prices you charge.
Great oysters! Love the atmosphere at this laid back place!
