The food was incredible! It was really what we were looking for!Nice atmosphere. Great service. Paula was fantastic! And a beautiful atmosphere! Loved it! Great for the date night!
Contrary to previous reviews, we had a very pleasant evening at Beach Walk for our anniversary. We are local and go there a couple of times per year and are usually not disappointed. The only set back was that it was unusually windy and we couldn't sit outside. But the view from the dining room is unrestricted so all was not lost. There are fewer items on the menu and no Amuse Bouche as you would expect for a high dollar restaurant. Our server, Edit, was very friendly and efficient. Drinks were good as was the really jumbo shrimp cocktail. We had the snapper and the fettuccini which were both good. Still a good place to go for a special occasion.
Food was delicious but not as good as previous time. Prices were higher than advertised online. Menus was also different online. Very expensive meal. We made 8pm reservations and were called at 3:20 while having a small snack to ride us over till 8pm dinner and basically forced to take an much earlier time. Our plans were set and because they changed plans I felt like the lady handling this was inconvenienced by us. She was not professional. Had we not had this time work out we would’ve been scrambling to find dinner plans at the last minute. Service was good but for the price of dinner it should’ve been exceptional. The servers seemed on edge. We probably won’t go back. View is great however.
AMAZING dining experience for our wedding anniversary- the service, food, atmosphere and views were all outstanding. 10/10!!!! The steak and snapper were out of this world!!
Lovely atmosphere and beautiful views/location but hostess was rude to our group several times and food was hit or miss. Very expensive for the experience received in our opinion.
Really wanted to love this restaurant. The fish was touted as exceptional. But the truth is it was unexceptional. The snapper was shrouded with a lot of other ingredients but in truth it was dry and tasteless. It is so sad that a restaurant on the beach the towns great fish would have such tasteless fish. We were so disappointed and prayers we presented our disappointment gently to the management. Apparently they say they are used to having people being disappointed in the fish. Don’t go there for fish. The chicken the salads were amazing. But the fish was not.
What a view! Very romantic spot for a great couples dinner. Service was excellent. We had the shrimp pasta and snapper. Both are delicious.
Sorry to say our dinner tonight was definitely not up to par. We are regulars when we come to town and have stayed at the bed and breakfast. They had no beer, and, I ordered the fried chicken and it tasted baked and like the frozen dinner chicken. No good especially at that price. My husband ordered Vince Grouper and the waitress suggested snapper. He took her advice and was not good at all. He has allergies to mushrooms and this was under the fish. Really not the usual excellent experience we usually have. Really hope it was a one time thing given the shortages being experienced right now…but, will definitely think twice about going there again.
Great food, fantastic atmosphere. Staff was really great. We celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary here and really enjoyed everything about the place. Highly recommend.
I’ve lived in the area a long time and never visited Beach Walk but always heard great things, so I finally visited for my anniversary. Both of our meals were extremely underwhelming, and as such overpriced. My fish was smothered in so much salty seasoning that that’s all I could taste. I won’t even describe my husband’s meal. Needless to say we will never go back. There are plenty of other amazing and delightful restaurants in Destin - namely Primrose.
