It was not busy at all when I visited. I ordered 2 egg and cheese bagels. Both came with almost no cheese at all, so I got two very dry bagels with eggs. The bagels were mediocre at best.
Great spot to buy your bagels as there are many varieties to choose from. You can have tuna, egg or chicken salad choices as well as toppings some of which are cucumber, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles. You can even satisfy your sweet tooth with squares, cookies, muffins or a danish. For those who want a morning treat, breakfast sandwiches are offered. Fresh coffee and tea are available as well as cold beverages. The cafe is self serve and you pay at the counter. Several tables are set up outside to enjoy your lunch or breakfast. Parking is outside and there are many shady spots.
Listen, I come from a Jewish family that immigrated into Ellis Island, NY after 11 of us survived the Holocaust. What I’m trying to say is we take our bagels VERY seriously. Strictly business. I would put Way Beyond Bagels up against any bagel place/Jewish deli in the world, and I would be victorious too. My family and I have been eating at this place for as long as I can remember ever since I was a little girl, and that will never change.Bagels 10/10Vegan options (tofu scallion cream cheese) 10/10Freshness 10/10Ambiance 10/10Service 10/10Vibes 10/10Stop reading this right now, get in your car, drive your car to Way Beyond Bagels and get yourself a damn bagel. Times are tough right now, you deserve it.
The Nova sandwich and the bagel were very good. However, I asked for onion and he gave me the end piece which you should throw out.He stuck it in the middle of my sandwich and of course I couldn't see what he was doing behind the counter. So I threw it out. Then, at the register I asked for a plastic bag with the logo on it. True I had spent "only" 18 dollars for the sandwich and coffee. The very nasty lady said they use the plastic bags only for big orders. I am not planning to go there again.was goodN
The fact that you cannot get freshly sliced fish is such a scam here. They claim they sliced it in the morning yet I’ve gotten packages that were days old and when I have walked out with fish they already sliced, I get “slabs” rather than thinly sliced as it should be. Top that with rude service at the Clint Moore Road location and this place should be off your list. Jog Road was closed by the Health Dept for a few days but reopened. Seriously go elsewhere.
I was concerned looking at their ratings but I went anyway. The interaction with staff was friendly and nice. I got a toasted bagel with cream cheese, lox, onion, tomato and onion. Delish. Just the way I wanted it. No seating in the small restaurant but plenty of outdoor seating
Boy has this place gone downhill! The staff was never friendly, but our most recent visit, the place had the most negative vibe, There was one man standing in the far-right corner (the owner? ) just staring at all the customers waiting to get help. The entire time we were there waiting for our food, he just stood there staring at everyone! Here's an idea - do something!!!! They were extremely short-staffed, and the staff that was there didn't smile, and certainly was not too pleased to be serving us, At one point, I tried to take a picture of the baked goods - and the guy behind the picture barked at me "No pictures" - as if I was inside of some top-secret location! Bagels are extremely dense, and over-priced. AVOID!
Always long waits for overpriced, mediocre bagels and indifferent service. Try nearby Bageltree, Bageltwins and especially Bagel with Deli on Linton and Dixie! I’m way Over Way Beyond Bagels
It has gone down hill. Has not passed inspections for cleanliness and food safety.
Great bagels, but typically a bit slow, especially if you just want bagels.
