Terrible customer service. We went to this place for a family member’s birthday. This was my first time here and certainly my last. First of all the place is tight quarters between tables (definitely does not follow American Disability Act guidelines) we had to fold up my grandma’s wheelchair and help carry her to her seat because there was no space. We had a party of 9 and a baby, they squeezed us all into a round half booth and 5 chairs on the other side of the table. If a fire were to break out, there’s no way that any of us would get out safely, that’s how tight it was. Secondly, when I got my food, the noodles were hard and not enjoyable. When I told the waiter about this, he stuttered to me that Angel Hair pasta is supposed to be hard. Two other plates at our tables had Angel hair pasta, their pasta was cooked to perfection. I told this to the e waiter and he offered something else, but I was turned off by his attempt to cover up the fact that the noodles were in fact not cooked properly. So now not only am I squeezed up, I’m still hungry. After our meal, we asked if they would be able to cut the cake that brought for the birthday dinner. The waiter said that there was a cake cutting fee. I asked if there was anything that they could do since they messed up my noodles, he responded that he already took the noodles off the bill. Well I would hope that I wouldn’t have to pay for a heap of crispy noodles that I didn’t touch. He did end up asking his GM and the GM said there was nothing they could do. Lastly, my final attempt was to speak to the GM myself. He was just as dismissive and showed no empathy for the situation. The apology I received from him was only because he had to apologize for the meal, but not for how the situation was handled. I will never return to this place and I would discourage anyone who is looking for bare minimum customer service from coming to this restaurant. Not sure if anyone higher up will read this, but you could use some new staff and certainly a new GM!
Octopus , as usual was delicious. Soft, plentiful, nice accompaniments. Mussels great, a bit skimpy, broth fabulous, and lots of garlic. Bread is hard to beat, delivered warm. Sue was our server. Newer employee, but so thoughtful and eager to please. She is a winner, hope they can hang onto her. A bit disappointing to sit next to a man who just went from one phone call to another. Insightful as Sue is, she offered to move us to another table, saying she thought we needed more room! Top notch move, without offending the rude dinner.
Went to lunch and was told no dogs however there was a family with a dog eating maybe cause i am spanish will see their manager on this issue or go to court
We waited an hour, on the crowded sidewalk, for a reservation. We were seated on a ridiculously crowded covered patio, at a tiny four top table. The service was similar to going to a diner, with a long wait for our meals. The large dishes barely fit on the table. I would never go back on a Saturday night.
Five of us had a 7 PM reservation on a recent Saturday night. It is clear that they overbook their reservations by a considerable amount. When we arrived the restaurant inside and sidewalk were packed. We were directed to wait at the bar which was also packed. We were seated at 7:50 PM. The tables are extremely close together. The food was fine, but nothing special. The waiter did not check on us after our food arrived. The waiter failed to bring one of our appetizers yet it was on the bill and we had to wait for the bill to be adjusted. May go back on a weeknight in the off-season but that’s it.
This Italian restaurant has to be the most popular location on Atlantic Boulevard. The staff and ambiance is incredible. Reservations are required if you want to enjoy a delicious Italian meal. I had the pleasure to speak with the matradee and our waiter in the history and location of this special place. You can go anywhere and eat on Atlantic Boulevard. But if you eat here you will leave with a taste of Italy that will have you coming back for more.
Amazing Italian food!!! I come here for every special occasion or as often as I can! The fried zucchini is amazing and I honestly had the best pasta of my life here! Also the fried risotto balls are delicious and the affogato is the best I’ve had! Their tiramisu is great too, I haven’t had a dish here that I haven’t liked! High quality food, the price is justified and the service is always great. 10/10 recommend
Avoid this place. They always overbook and make you wait an hour + after your reservation. The manager (short dude with black hair) is beyond arrogant and rude. He clearly thinks that customer service doesn’t matter. Well fortunately Atlantic Ave continues to add more and more restaurants offering better food and much nicer staff. I live in the area and won’t ever frequent that joint again and will warn others that their dollars are better spent elsewhere.
Tramonti is great and wish it were in NYC area. Being a veal Parm fan, I can tell you that this was one of the best. It was served with potato croquets and string beans. We started with the best zucchini fries I have ever had. They were light and not oily. Save room for dessert - the tartufo was wonderful. The portions were very large and appetizers and desserts can be shared. Our waiter was terrific and helped us choose a perfect wine to accompany our meal. It is a high energy environment but we were luckily seated a t a fabulous circular table in the back. We shall return!
Management doesn't seem to understand that the customer who makes a reservation should expect to be seated within a reasonable time after arrival. We were shuffled to the bar, were there was no seating available, and after waiting almost an hour decided to leave. If you don't mind that kind of treatment, go to Tramonti's.
