Very nice, I will be back with more friends, they should be able to experience such serenity.
Always enjoy but that day was their last brunch and the time I sat down at 3pm there was not much of a selection and took the desert away without asking if we would like desert. We did have a wonderful server who went out of his way to get us sweets in the kitchen
The food wss very good,as expected. It was very hot and the room we were in had non working fans! the Ladies room was a mess. The stall had a broken toilet paper holder. There was some kind of hole in the wall that was stuffed with paper. Just not up to par with their reputation. The edit staff was very friendly and attentive. They just need to keep the ambiance up to standards. Oh and serve cream cheese and bagels with the salmom, which was tasteless.
We sat outside and the ambiance was great. Our table was under the trees and that added to the experience. The food was a good quality but the presentation was terrible. The employees working and maintaining the buffet stations were not interested in doing their job and each area was littered with food. Serving spoons had food crusted on them making it difficult to scoop out from the chafing dishes. There was no one behind the carving area so I cut my own meat and turkey and also the couple behind me. Then the worker came over and wanted to assist but I told him to wash his hands since he was just sweeping the floor. The Ice Cream area was a mess but the man behind the counter was helpful, even though he should have kept his area clean. With that said I was disappointed but the Sangria and Mimosa's were good but I had to keep asking for a refill. My server had too many tables but was helpful when I could flag him down.
I have always loved Sundy House, for the service and ambience which is still second to none, unfortunately the quality of the food this time, was at best poor. The Mac and Cheese looked and tasted like it was out of a packet. The chilled shrimp was so salty that I ended up later that evening drinking copious amounts of water due to the high level of salt content. The cucumber salad tasted bitter, the beets just cut into chunks, with no thought in presentation. The cakes could of come from Publix, absolutely not home made, in fact I think nothing is home made on the buffet. Please moving forward, label all the food that is in the big silver tureens, you have people constantly opening them wondering what is inside them, what does it take to label the food, to me this is just not paying attention to detail. Please Sundy House, improve your food quality, if not another restaurant will come and beat you too it, which is such a shame as your location is fantastic and your servers are second to none.
The restaurant is looking very shabby, and not particularly clean. The grounds, which used to be beautiful are looking unloved! Food was just OK, would not be returning.
Courtney was an amazing server. It was our first time their and we will definitely be back
The ambience outside is beautiful. We sat in a little cabana near the water under an abundant amount of shade. The bar area inside is very nice and the set up of the food is very good. The food was good not exceptional but good. The deserts, however, were very good. Our service was decent, the valet were very nice and prompt.
Problematic from the first moment. We arrived about 5 minutes before our reservation which was at 1pm. But we didn’t get sat until almost 130. I watched the manager give the table that the hostess set for us to another group who, not for nothing, didn’t have a reservation… So we continued to wait. Danny was our server, he was inattentive and forgetful. We sat almost 7 minutes before getting greeted. He came back twice to take our order, both times forgetting to bring our drinks. I got the unlimited brunch cocktails. He continued to rush us to order. It was very frustrating. When the food came in was cold and unremarkable. My mother ordered the tuna tartare, it did not come as mentioned on the menu with crispy wontons. It came with toast points instead with no mention from staff as to why it was not plated correctly. I had the pancakes, also not plated the way mentioned in the menu with powdered sugar… My mother and I come here about 3/4 times a year. I’ve never been so disappointed. We usually love having lunch and walking the grounds. We left this time without doing so. Typically it’s a nice and relaxing meal. However staff were calling out to each other from 20 plus feet, hooting and hollering. I mean, it was beyond obnoxious. No manager checked on us during our entire meal which is customary in hospitality. We could go anywhere, but I chose Sundy House, disappointed with that decision.
Such a quaint and gorgeous garden. I’ll consider having my future wedding here. My boyfriend loves plant life so it’s perfect. We walked after brunch and admired all the fruit trees as well as the gorgeous decor/setting
