This is a hidden gem and it shouldn't be hidden. The food is fresh, delicious and well presented. I work in the Boca Ray Plaza and there is none better. The staff is welcoming and go out of their way to make this small, attractive restaurant a success. My favorite dish is their Poke Nachos. Better than any nachos, because they are crispy sheets of wonton noodles topped with fresh fish, avocado, other goodies and the sauce is addicting. The menu offers much more and anything I have ever had, has been fresh and made to order. The prices are very reasonable.

Came across shiitake after moving to the area and have since fallen in love with this place. Low-key spot with incredible service and even better sushi. The double happiness roll is a must-have!
Really love the food here. Staff are nice, the salmon is fresh and delicious. Gyoza is very good and so is the tuna crispy rice. I have yet to try any of their other sushi but I look forward to it.
Trying to branch out and explore new sushi places to top my town fave. This was a good contender. I got the spicy tuna and spicy salmon rolls delivered which were quite good! The fish was fresh and the rolls tasted great overall. The spice level was mild - definitely could have been taken up a notch or two.
Wow! This is a hidden local gem! Service is amazing the staff is so friendly from The door to the kitchen! The food was extraordinary! The pork belly was so soft and well cooked, the fried chicken and pineapple rice was so delicious! My children loved it! Sorry! We were so hungry forgot to take pictures, BUT!!! The reason we went was for the sushi! And boy this place did not disappoint! We had the volcano, happiness, bocaray and celebration roll! Everything was so fresh, so tasty, well balanced and well portioned.
Excellent fresh sushi prepared and presented beautifully. Excellent service and outstanding food. Highly recommended. For what the ambiance lacks the food and service make up for. They should have a full bar which would help. Hopefully down the road:)
I don't usually trust Asian places that do multiple kinds of cuisine. But this place is fantastic at both Japanese and Thai food! Really authentic and can be very spicy (if you ask for it!). Really great sushi - we had yellowtail, eel, salmon, and tuna. All fresh and delicious! We also had duck over yellow noodles and it was in a delicious garlicky sauce. highly recommend!
I have been eating lunch regularly since its opening. Everything is fresh and delicious. The portions are large, even from the 'starters' menu. I am addicted to their food. I haven't had a bad dish yet. Sushi/Sushi-mi is always fresh. I am addicted! Try the Poke Nacho--I am addicted. The sticky rice is some of the best I ever had.The staff is friendly and service is always with a smile. Wonderful place!
