great music, great drinks, ocean view!

Great service. Friendly atmosphere. Food was great and of course the beverages were as well.

Horrible service ?. We sat down at the bar, ready to spend money and had to wait 15 min before we acknowledged. Then once we received our first drink, we had to wit another 30 minutes to ask for another drink. I was never asked if i wanted another drink. The bartender was more worried about the single men at the bar than the couples. We had an open tab and was ready to enjoy ourselves. It seemed like a nice place to come on the weekend & enjoy yourself.

Unfortunately our experience here was not as good as the rest of our trip. We stopped in after our first day on the beach for a drink and some lunch, but when we walked in, no one was there to greet us. We had to look for someone to ask for seating, and were told to sit wherever. After about 10 minutes a server brought menus and took our drink orders. She didn’t return again until about 15 minutes later for our food order; but no drink yet.. we placed our orders and a few minutes later she finally brought out our drinks. None of our drinks were correct and they were VERY watered down. We didn’t see our server again with new drinks for another 15-20 minutes. When she came back she brought our food as well. The wings were really good, which is why I gave the 2 stars. But the service was so lacking. We weren’t asked if we needed refills (which we did), and she didn’t come back until the end of our meal to just drop the check off. During our visit however, she was consistently at a table where she obviously knew the two guys she was serving and spent almost our entire visit talking to them. It was very frustrating. Definitely wouldn’t recommend, based off service alone- which is a shame, because it’s a beautiful outdoor dining area.

Great food and service. Across from the ocean

Good vibe and easy enough to find a table if you wait

Late post.I have been visiting Delray Beach for some time and had always wanted to visit the Sandbar. This was about a year ago in January 2021. I arrived with a friend 10 minutes before they opened, we were spending the day at the beach and decided to have a few drinks there first. Once the doors opened, I asked the hostess is the bar was open. I asked this because I work for local government and know of some cities prohibit the sale of alcohol prior to a certain time, in these cases only the kitchen would be open for breakfast/lunch. The brunette hostess replied with a very snooty response, " Of course it is, that's why I opened the doors." She obviously wasn't interested in being there. I live in Miami and I rarely get such rude service. Thankfully, our server was a very sweet girl and we ended up having a nice time.Sandbar owners: The hostess is not only the first face your customers see, but is who helps your customers feel welcome. Make sure you're hostess is someone with a pleasant attitude.

Let me tell you some background on this review First of all I’ve been going there since it has opened. I loved this spot I’ve told everyone the day my son turns 21 I’m taking him there to see what a great spot this is. Young crowd beautiful spot and people. Great service and food. The day he turns 21 we arrive for a couple drinks and and appetizer. It was 2 o’clock in the afternoon. He has his ID in his hand and ready for the doorman. This is where the review comes from. We are visitors from Canada I actually have a house in the area as well and that’s how I know this place so well. The experience we had with this want to be a retired cop was the worst, as his father I was expecting to see a man think this was a great experience to bring his son for a couple drinks and 2 o’clock in the afternoon on his birthday to experience one of the best spots in the area. We arrived and presented the Ontario drivers license where we were quickly informed that’s not valid ID. I guess going forward all Foreign visitors should apply in advance for Florida ID before having such a confrontational interaction trying to get into your establishment. maybe since the dates lined up perfectly to his 21st birthday it was too confusing for this meathead and doesn’t understand math very well. Again as his father in this conversation with a meathead we had to provide additional proof such as a passport which we were carrying since we had to pre-register his next day departure for his flight home then and only then he somewhat excepted his ID. Now I get it that trying to stop under age drinking is probably very difficult and somewhat challenging with today’s environment. But it was 2 o’clock in the afternoon with his father beside him. The food was great the servers were great the atmosphere was great but your first impressions needs a ton of work. And since I feel this way and I pay this bills. This is the last time I’ll bring guest there and spend our hard converted currency

Very nice place to hang out if you do not like loud music then this place is not for you otherwise it is enjoyable you get your own table and they serve you as soon as you sit down fast service food was good not awesome but good it’s not a place for food it’s a place for drinks

Awesome beachside place to grab a drink or maybe a light snack. Their food menu is really limited, but you can go next door to Boston's, which is under the same ownership, for more choices. The servers and bartenders are great and they have happy hour until 7PM Monday through Friday.
