Got their sushi before, but when it comes to their Chirashi, this is my new go to place. Finally found a restaurant where they give you your money worth of fish on your chirashi! Attaching a picture to my review so you guys can see for yourself ! 10/10!
Well... this is a tough one. We visited this place at lunch as a friend of ours wanted to 'introduce' us to the restaurant. There was only one other table being served when we arrived. We were waited on promptly and placed our orders. I ordered the green curry with chicken, my wife (and our friend) ordered the shrimp fried rice. My wife also ordered a bowl of the Tom Kha (Thai coconut soup). The soup was good enough to order an extra one to take home. My wife like what she ordered and my curry was pretty good (I'd say 4 stars). The portions were generous enough to take home and enjoy a meal the following day.So why only three stars? I found the restaurant to be quite dirty. We sat in the corner by the front window and looking down where the seat cushion meets the wall there was almost enough food 'debris' for a take home box. The metal frame around the light bulb above our table (and the surrounding fixtures as well) was covered in cobwebs and dust. They apparently have not been cleaned in years. (I wanted to take a photo but did not want to offend our friend that had invited us there).I hope that the owners of the restaurant will see this critique and make housekeeping a lot more important. As I said, the food was pretty good. My curry had a nice body and good flavors to the sauce, not watered down like Rice Thai in Boynton Beach. But the grime will keep me from hurrying back.
We ordered take out twice during our visit as we were concerned about COVID. Both times the Sushi Boat for 4 was fresh, delicious and reasonably priced for what you get.
I was happy to hear this place had outdoor seating which most likely meant it was dog friendly. We brought our pup and the server was fine with him. I didn't get to see the inside but from what I've heard its quite a small place. I have to say, I am very open minded about trying new places... This restaurant in particular can be considered a local cuisine. That is because they cater to the locals, not only the taste, flavor, and presentation as well. I didn't want to order sushi from here but we did and of course we had to get the Thai Food. Pad Thai (Chicken and Shrimp) - 4/5 Flavor was good, typical Thai Chicken and Basil (Pad Krapow Gai) - 3/5 Definitely not authentic, the taste was catered to the locals. Basically Chicken with a ton of veggies stir fried w hint of basil. Sashimi Plater - 5/5 Very fresh, except we were missing 1. The menu specifies 16 we only got 15. Hey I believe people should get what they pay for.
This is a very small restaurant with very good personal service. We ate a variety of their sushi, wonton soup and shumai dumplings with their fried rice. All excellent.
The dishes we ordered for take out dinner were fresh and tasty. You can pick the type of sauce you want with your protein/vegetables. There is a good variety of rice/noodles/vegetable/protein choices from which to make your meal. When we order again we will try the sushi side of the menu. Service was quick and friendly for pick up.
Food is always fresh and amazing. Place is always crowded for dinner especially on weekends, so get there early, or be prepared to wait. They have seating outside as well. Service is great. Try the drunken noodles with shrimp. Amazing!
The best Thai in town in my opinion. Always good no matter how busy they can get. Service was great. Everything was served at the perfect time and delicious. We started with crab Rangoon & the volcano roll? moved onto Tom kha soup and then pad Thai and crispy duck! Love this place, a real local gem ?
small local thai/sushi Cafe. Delicious and reasonably priced.Very crowded with eat-in and carryout, always a good sign.
My favorite Thai in Delray! The food is ALWAYS consistently delicious and the service is good but slow when its crazy busy - and it can get crazy busy! Seems folks prefer takeout since the place is tiny so expect a long line. But we've always dined in and while they may miss something when you first ask, they will hustle to get it right. You just need to ask again they will get it right away. Our neighbor had the Lobster Pad Thai and it looked SCRUMPTIOUS! They said it was well worth the price!! We got sushi, Nana's Fried Rice, and Paid Thai to share for a party of three and it was plenty of food and everyhing was delicious. We had to wait a bit for our check, but when we asked again, it came right away. Hard workers and DELUCIOUS food!! We'll be back to our favorite Thai restaurant!
