This restaurant is nicely old school in decor, but it is immaculate. The service was quick and pleasant. The food is fresh, and tasty enough, but a little under seasoned for my taste. I also guess we have different definitions of "spicy"--so if you like spicy, ask them to be generous. I think they keep the seasoning light for the older clientele who might not have a tolerance for salt & spice. They do serve the wide crispy noodles and the mustard will clear your sinuses. The portions are generous, if not a little pricey (but everything costs more these days).
We arrived early at 5:30 knowing how fast they fill up. We were seated immediately. Service was excellent. Our meals were perfectly served as ordered and arrived in short order. This is the very best Chinese restaurant in the Delray Beach area. Prices are fair snd food quantity excellent.
I ordered sweet and sour pork, they delivered chicken, i called and they said they would give me a credit, the next time I ordered the container to the sauce was punctured very bad burn to my hand, called and they said nothing we can do and till no credit....would never order from them again
I ordered from their lunch menu and had a very tasty eggplant with garlic sauce. Not overly spicy or salty. It seemed to me to have been prepared with care and choice fresh ingredients. Same can be said of their fried rice with pork. Even the tea was delicious oolong. This was my first visit and it won't be my last.I forgot to mention that strict sanitary measures were conducted by the staff.
As good as the Chinese food was when our family grew up in the NY/Westchester area. Standard plain environment. Great noodles on the table with excellent hot Chinese mustard and duck sauce. The combination platters offer more than a full meal (Great hot and sour soup), very good egg roll, an entree, rice (which was just OK), and dessert (tasty chocolate ice cream - 2 scoops!) for less than $20. The shrimp and lobster sauce had easily 6 Jumbo shrimp, perfectly cooked, and really tasty. And, since it is a lot of food, they are quick to offer to-go containers as needed. Gotta be one of the best deals in town.
I have been to this restaurant many times and I have to say that this is the WORST experience I have ever had in ANY restaurant. The waiter was the worst. Wandering around aimlessly without a clue of how to serve food. Management was made aware and did very little to help the situation. One star is too good for them. The experience was awful. Having a meal out should be pleasant not stressful.
We like this but lace very much. One of the last places you can still get noodles and duck sauce on the table without asking. The food is always very good but a little too expensive to go more than once a month for a “regular” couple. If I could afford it this would be my Sunday night spot.
Wife and I tried this place last week. Spent $98.98 for 2 people. Asked for a glass of ice and manager/owner/village idiot charged us $3.50 for a glass of ice. Section 212.133 of Florida General Laws says if you have a liquor license you cannot charge for water. Oddly, if a restaurant doesn't own a liquor license they can charge for water. This fool has no clue how to deal with customers, hence 3.8 rating and food, at best, mediocre to terrible. RG
Michael is a wonderful server, so attentive. Food was hot, plentiful and tasty. One of my favorite haunts for sure, obviously will be back.
.. Amazing food ! Large portions .. Appropriate prices .. Great service with a full staff , must commend them during this pandemic .. Everyone was nice , friendly .. No issues here .. Very busy , which is good business for them .. Went on a Saturday eve. .. All the tables were full .. But we got lucky .. We were 3 .. At 7.30 pm .. Place is tucked away in a cozy corner of a pretty water fountain plaza .. Highly recommend ..
