I went here after many years of people saying it was excellent. I had the worst Chinese meal ever. I ordered Sweet and Sour Shrimp. The dish came out cold, the vegetables still had chill on them, the rice was mushy, the shrimp was tough, dried out and still had the vein in it...I was grossed out. My sister ordered General Gaos chicken it came as sesame chicken, server said it was the general. They claim serving only white meat chicken, sure...I tried a peice and could tell it was a pressed chicken...so weiird...never going back!
Not as good as it was pre covid. No longer served in covered chaffing dishes so can't share different entrees. Served on beautiful rectangular plates that cool quickly and have the rice and entree together. Nothing to rave about. My usual order was just ok. If you are looking for a Chinese restaurant that is authentic , this is no longer the place to go. But if you are trying to go upscale, it misses also. It is just average ..,. Too bad. It was a favorite. Now just ordinary.
The shrimp spring rolls no longer seem to contain shrimp. The hot and sour soup tasted fowl. Moo shu was ok. Even fortune cookies are tasteless. Time to find a new Chinese take out that actually tastes good and puts quality products savor.
They have very good food always fresh the only thing is they raise the prices a little too high from what they were so I don't order from them anymore I can't afford it everything on the dinner menu even chicken chow mein is 1295 from 899 too big of a difference for me have a great day
Food was good and so was the service. No complaints! People seating us were friendly. The place is older, could use a little TLC but over all a great dining experience. Will be back.
The hot and sour soup was sweet. The bourbon chicken tasted like and had the texture of flavorless roast pork. The spicy chicken and shrimp that I asked for extra spicy, was bland. Probably among the worst Chinese meals I've ever had. I also never received the free quart of fried rice that was supposed to come with order of over $35. I had to ask for it as well. But got home and it wasn't in my order. This was my only 2 visits to this place. My first and last.
Ordered orange chicken allegedly, the chicken was cut the wrong way couldn't even chew it and literally got four 2-in pieces of chicken for a quart which would have been okay if it was edible. Don't even ask me about the egg rolls
Gross vegetables. The szechuan tasted like a 10lb bag of sugar. They stated it should be sweet not spicy. And it came with 2 shrimp. Joe the ignorant person at the desk stated that's becouse the shrimp are bigger. The food is disgusting. Oh joe said they can change it for a $10 charge.
Was there on new years eve at about 4pm. They had a special menu which was at least double the price of their regular menu. Having said that, the food was fabulous. The chicken was fresh and there was a good amount of chicken. Many give tons of veggies but little chicken. At the end, I did not mind paying the premium price for excellent food. I'm moving to the neighborhood and plan to make China gardens my go to Chinese restaurant
Disgusting I will never go their again how awful the food is wow .
