Came in on a Sunday late morning to pick up bagels for the holiday weekend. All I wanted was 1/2 dozen bagels with 5 plain. Rung up the order and took my payment on my card. AFTER my card was charged I was told that they had no plain bagels left. Rather odd since you are still 4 hours before closing and you are out of the most popular bagel? So I asked her if any more were coming out of the oven since my family will not eat anything other than plain bagels. She disappeared to the back and managed to come up with the plain bagels I asked for. Silly me assumed they were going to be piping hot fresh bagels. When I got home, not only were they dead cold but it was very apparent after tasting them (heated one in the oven and one in the toaster) that they were day old bagels. Considering this was my first visit to this establishment, I can guarantee this will be my last.
Excellent accidently Found Deli, for a chef like me. Classic Deli vibes as well a lovely Seafood selections. Line to order went quickly,Cashiers courtesy and proficient. The Fish and fries taste and the Manhattan Clam chowder is so so good Rich an velvety with aboundance of clams. All Sammies come with a salad I got the cuccumber it was lovely and Homemade, they must have given at least 6oz of Mid-rare Lovely Toast beef and the pickles (I am a serious pickles consumer of them) Brine use on them makes them so tastee... Will be back again.
Exceptional service, good demographic of customers, bagels were good and lobster rolls were better. Brughton Blasters are a must have, definitely coming again.
As a born and raised New Yorker I'm a stickler for a true New York style deli feel/atmosphere and Brighton Beach Bagel & Bakery is what I've been looking for. The women working the counter was so kind to me and had a huge smile on her face the whole time that was very helpful. When I order, Ironically, I ordered a New England style Lobster Roll and I could have sworn they purposely over filled it with lobster since I mentioned it was my first time coming in. I cant tell you how many rolls ive have where its like they forget the lobster ? . I found my secret New York spot, finally! Fantastic!
The best Lobster Rolls in town.
One of the best bagel / delis in Delray. The bagels are fluffy on the inside and nice and crispy outside. The freshly squeezed OJ and friendly service puts them over the top. Only improvement would be 'please bring out the toasted bagels hot! Thanks!
The food is good, but you can find food just as good with 100x better service. My friends and I ordered separately and all got different numbers. Three of the four of us got our food ASAP, while our other friend (who ordered first) waited over 25 mins for a simple bagel sandwich. She reminded them what she got a few times, and then they had the audacity to ask if she had her receipt after she already had her drink and number at the table and her friends had all been eating. And then one of the waitresses acted like we had no reason to be slightly annoyed. After no apologies and another 10 minutes, her sandwich was finally brought to her. When she asked for some cream cheese (that she had asked for when she initially ordered) the woman said “you can if you go up to the front yourself and pay for it.” After reminding her that she had waited 30 minutes, her friends had already eaten, and she had already ordered it, the cream cheese was brought to her. After she got her food we left and she ate in the car because it was a terrible experience.
Delicious lobster roll and lovely people working there.
Manhattan clam chowda, perfectly seasoned. It's da bomb!
I love their breakfast.
