Chase or Jase the assistant manger at the NORTH Deland location was aweful! I mean one of the nastiest assistant night managers I have ever ran into. This man was so rude to me as a customer I had to call corporate. He needs more training on how to talk to customers that spend money at this location. I’m blown that he even has a JOB how he acted towards me about a sub Sauce. All I did was ask could I change my Mayo to the sub sauce and turned his back to me and told that poor cashier to charge me for it. He told me Mayo doesn’t come in the subs. I’ve at this location over 15 years… it does. He just was rude about it and customer service skills are at an all time low. I didn’t mind paying for more but don’t lie. Don’t turn your back towards a customer and get on the phone and walk away. He had his AirPods in on the job too. Just another form of disrespect. How can you hear someone with ear phones in. Even if your aren’t listening at least act like. Shrugged his shoulders when talking to him. I’m not sure who he think he is but I’m sure at this location you don’t make that much money to treat a customer that way. I Would NOT RECOMMEND!
I have been dealing with hungry Howie's for 20 years first in Orlando then in Altamonte springs and now in deland and have always enjoyed their Pizza and their employees.
It's an okay establishment worker's are nice atmosphere is somewhat nostalgic. If you plan on dining in store make sure you do It with friends.

Has always been our go to for pizza, always nice, helpful, and friendly.The food is always great and hot n fresh and pick up times are quick.
The Deland location is okay but when I ordered over the phone the new guy couldn't get my card to go through correctly, then the female who took over was very curt and hung up on me before confirming my order went through. After repeating my card number several times I didn't feel good about the way the call ended. So I called back, thankfully a different woman answered me and reassured me nothing nefarious was going on. When the order arrived to my house, the driver asked for the full amount in cash. Once again I got unnerved, thankfully he called himself and got it figured out.
I always experienced great customer service and that's what keeps me coming back.
