Food was very good. While I got the flounder sandwich which was excellent. My wife got the veggie plate which was even better. She got cabbage soup mashed potatoes/gravy plus green beans and fried okra. A nice piece of bread. Highly recommend
Visited today 3/27/22. Expected it to be busy as it was Sunday at Noon time. Got there and table of 4 girls where already seated. We waited maybe 15 minutes for a table. We ordered maybe 5+ minutes later. Another 10 minutes went by and the table of 4 girls ordered. They got their order 10-15 minutes before we did. Assume they are regulars there and knew the waitress? What’s up with that? Guess it’s who you know there. I don’t think we’ll be regulars there anytime soon.Food was good.
This was the very first time we stopped in to try out this little dinner and we were very impressed.It's a small diner so expect it to be busy during breakfast and lunch times so please be patient. When we got there we were seated very promptly.The food was delicious, the wait staff were friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was welcoming and casual, and the prices were affordable.I had the delicious club sandwich with chips and scrunchy pickle. My al had the open faced roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and okra.We can't wait to come back again.
Great Service and food! It is a cash and check only, so be prepared. It was our first time there but by the time we were finished with our meal, I felt like a regular... If you want good food and southern hospitality, this is your place.
My wife and I came to Deland Florida to attend a wedding!...Since we were new to Deland, we did not know the city of Deland!...So we drove around looking at the historic district plus looking for a place to eat especially for breakfast!..We found Doug and Lil's Potato Patch!..What a hidden treasure!...The food was outstanding!...The staff was very friendly as well as the owner!...Even the locals made you feel welcome!...That put a real nice feeling on our trip to Deland Florida!..Anway, this caused us to do a return trip the next morning!...Needless to say, this is one our favorite spots in Deland!...Thanks for spoiling us!...Looking forward to come visit you on our next trip Deland Florida!...Becky and Ron!....????

I grew up in grease spoon diners old framer would come to before hitting the fields everyday.The menu is way more expensive then most restaurants. Food for to finish good. I can't wait to go back
First time there. Great home cooked food, coffee that tasted like coffee, not dishwater and I loved my waitress, Misty. Such a warm down to earth person.
No credit cards or debit accepted. We went to C's waffles and loved it. I guess they get enough cash business. I won't be back. Who carries cash in 2022?
