The host (young, male) was amazing. He was so sweet and kind. Made sure we told management he was amazing.Our server, Christine, was the opposite. She's excessively LOUD and confrontational. In addition, we were not offered refills until it was time to pay. We asked for a spoon and Christine never brought one to the table. Ordered a glass of Merlot which didn't come until after the food arrived, and it was warm.One of our orders of meat was still raw, which Jenn took care of but Christine was confrontational about.Overall, the service was terrible.
We have been here twice in the last few weeks and the hostess told us it would be 45 minutes to an hour to even get seated. There waas at most ten tables in the entire restaurant. It was around 930 pm on a Tuesday and they close at 11 pm. Just ridiculous. I don't usually leave bad reviews because maybe it was a one time thing. But this needs to be said. We ended up joining my parents table of 2, at the angst of the hostess. Our waiter was a champ though. His name was Roy. Absolutely fabulous waiter. And quick! The food came out quicker than we could even eat it after appetizers. So really the bad experience just comes down to the hostess....
The place had a weird feel to it from the moment we walked in. There was a guy standing at the host podium and overly loudly greeted us and told us to go sit anywhere. Turns out, he didn't even work there he was an intoxicated customer flirting with the host. There with another overly drunk person who was all over the place. It was mostly empty when we went in there so these two weirdos had a free range of the dining area. Our server was pretty nice, and our order was taken and delivered in a timely manner. My boyfriend didn't enjoy his steak meal though, he said it was just bland. We won't be going back to this Chili's, even if it were free.

Unfortunately their dine in has gone down from my recent experience. Their take out seems to be still good. The food looked like someone just threw it on the plate. The bathrooms were not good, both men & women. Dine in is not the way I remember it & we've been going there for years. Time to look for another restaurant.
Well, my wife and I have been going to Chili's in Deland every Friday night now for more than 6 years. Tonight was the worst experience every. We waited an hour and a half for our food, and when it finally came out, it was cold. Had it been busy i would have completely understood. But the bar side was half empty. As well as the other side. Our grandkids food was out to us in less than 10 minutes of our order being taken. When I asked to speak with the manager, I was told she (Courtney)was on the line and could not speak with us at the moment, so we waited some more. So 30 minutes past, and still no manager(Courtney) had come out to speak with us. I find this to be disrespectful of any person in a management position. This restaurant has gone down hill since (Courtney) was placed in a management position. As a Manger myself, she would have been fired on the spot for her inconsiderate behavior towards a customer. So, needless to say, my wife and I left the restaurant without having a meal to eat.
Would give more if my food and my brother and laws food hadn't tasted like it was microwaved and I know for sure it was cause the food runner had to carry my plate wrapped in her shirt to bring it to the table then found a hair in my brother in laws fries. Though the only reason I give this to stars was our server Sarah she was amazing very attentive and kind her service is 5 stars.
Ciara was the 5, no 10 star show of this meal. Witty, attentive, knowledgeable and all-around shining star of any server I can recall in long time. O yeah the food was good too but Ciara made it a great experience.Well Done Good Servant
I go here frequently. I love going out to eat but costs have risen. So I will get the soup (or chili) and salad (less than 10.00) And the beer is 2fer all the time.
Ya, will never be here again... burger was burnt, chicken had no seasoning and it took forever to get food to the table. I see the comments about how great this place is, but it is not that today.Oh and your sprite mix is off too...This is nothing like all the other Chili's that we have tried.
