I love this place. We have been going to the Deerfield location for 16 years now but this last visit today was so terrible I had to write a review. The girl working the counter was obviously miserable and unhappy to be there. She rolled her eyes and sighed at everything. Terrible customer service and RUDE!!! Very disappointed because I had never had this kind of experience here.Later I used the only bathroom they had and when another customer needed to know if someone was inside she kicked the door rather than knocking. I know it was her because I could hear them from inside the bathroom.I know it was a Sunday but if she’s the only person for that shift it’s almost better not to even bother opening the store for such rotten service!I will go back for their amazing ice creams but in all honesty hopefully they can hire better personnel.
Walk to the store a couple times a week for my pecan Carmel apple, which they NEVER have. The girl yesterday told me she doesn’t know how to make them and she would make sure the guy who does will make them tomorrow and put one aside for me. So I walk back there today (I’m 74) and as expected no apple. The manager said he’s too busy to make them and he can’t train the “young kids”. I’ve lived in the area for years and I’m constantly begging for them to make me an apple :( I guess I’m going to have to get in my car and drive to another location. This was happening prior to Covid so staffing issues isn’t really an excuse at this point. So disappointed with the service and someone who calls himself a manager.
Great ice cream. The parking is tight in the parking garage. I'd love to try the chocolates but most of the stuff has nuts which I can't eat. I like that it's close to the beach.
I was there not a long ago the guy I think he’s new was really patient with me he gave me a really good customer service but the cashier seems like she didn’t like him being patient she wanted him to serve me quickly and then she was really rude with me and my husband
I love their Kilwin Tracks ice cream. But it is very expensive but what the heck..I was on vacation!
This location has such friendly and energetic staff. My mint chocolate chip ice-cream was so creamy and delicious!! Tori had an amazing smile! The manager did a great job with their staff.
Although a bit short-staffed, they had the best ice cream in the area. Their smores and sea salt caramel ice creams were to die for!
The shop is amazing, chocolate is the best you can imagine and the staff is very helpful and patient, we'll be going back.
My husband and I loved our visit at this store. Mark and his staff were awesome. So friendly and patient with our sample tasting. End result was the most delicious ice cream flavors in a cup. The chocolate/coconut was to die for. Mixed with strawberry chunk...oh, my goodness. What a way to end a beautiful night spent in Deerfield Beach.
Kilwins is a national chain with mostly fudge, but candy and hand dip ice cream round out most of Buddy the Elf's food groups. Service is always great and never disappointed with my selection.
