We’re bringing our daughter to college and wanted some good soul food BUT what we received was AMAZINGLY GREAT soul food. I had the fried pork chop dinner with Mac n cheese, cabbage & rice/gravy my daughter had Buffalo wings & fries. Both were VERY VERY delicious. We didn’t need any condiments & didn’t waste any of it. I also had their homemade lemonade…..AMAZING as well. This is the absolute BEST food that we’ve had in a very long time. You will not be disappointed!
I was working in the Daytona area needed lunch and came across this soul food restaurant, notice they had smothered turkey on rice that's when I started driving, also got the collard greens and black eyed peas with it. Growing up on smother turkey and rice in NC, I know how I like it and that's the way they prepared it. GOOD EATING...!
Only one star because negative 10 was not available. I really wish this food did not taste like leftovers. The greens are canned or Glory and full of vinegar (which should be used as a condiment). Black-eyed peas thick and pasty or mush like mashed potatoes and over cooked. I think the cinnamon and nutmeg was used in place of the brown sugar it was so pungent in the candied yams they could not be enjoyed and lastly this Mac and cheese wasn’t the best either. This is a restaurant and the expectation is restaurant quality food not something prepared for your family. No worries I will not be back.
I love her food it's the best food I've had out there she dose fabulous job on the food and she dose a great job in her restaurant I can't wait to go again to eat the best food out there in Daytona you must go and try her good food you won't regret it...
Delicious! I have been in Daytona since January from NY and this is the first spot that had me damn near licking my plate. The dining room wasn’t open due to COVID but the first thing that caught my eye was the beautiful lighting fixtures. I’m definitely ordering again and I’m hoping I can dine in before I head back home.
Usually the food is hot and fresh, that was not the case tonight. The portions were small and the food was salty. Tasted like someone else cooked and not the owner. Very dissatisfied and disappointed.
Maannnn im tempted to drive all the way back down here from Jacksonville for dinner. The plate i got yesterday was so delicious ? and the LEMONADE!? Best lemonade i ever had, i need a gallon next time. Even the icecream was good. Cornbread was slightly dry, but still good. The lady that took my order was very nice. I will be back soon for sure

My children and I enjoy eating here! A great place to grab dinner when I don’t have time to cook. Very consistent with their preparation. Great place!
I absolutely love the food here. Always made fresh, and the collard greens are soooo good.The wing sauce options are different and so dang good. I highly recommend the buffalo jerk sauce.The crab cake was so on point. Along with the fried shrimp
