The food lacked a lot of seasoning. Greens bland...yams were horrible...bland as well! Mac and cheese missing everything...tasted like mild cheddar I believe. The smothered pork chop was good, but the yellow rice was overcooked which is weird because I waited 20 minutes for it to finish cooking. The cornbread cake was great! All in all..very disappointed to spend $41.62 for my first attempt here! I still tipped... smh
The food was not what I thought , all the gravy is the same very nasty , the food is very nasty it tastes likes no taste hospital nasty food. It’s very nasty not worth the money. Not to mention a hour and 30 min. Wait as well. The orders was messed up had to remake it. After I seen lots of people waiting and I seen soul food I was for sure it was go be just that soul food but instead it was a waste of money. And they don’t want to give money bk when you’re unsatisfied so pls don’t even waste your time pls don’t. All the gravy is the same on all the food. Also the shrimp Alfredo and chicken Alfredo no taste at all. Non , cabbage taste like butter. Just save ur money pls horrible horrible ??
Great customer service FOOD always fresh and GOOD STAFF SUPPER FRIENDLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Oh and let’s not forget the strawberry cheese cake be GOODDDD yalll should try it !
Went on a Sunday evening inside was a mess first off. We ordered smothered porkchops with gravy O my it was discussing the gravy was so thick its stuck on the rice it was more flour then pork chops wasn't tender at all just nasty, potatoes salad was almost mash potatoes with no season. Was was over cook the white and yellow rice That was my first and my last time going to kinfolk restaurant
Had the smothered pork chops, greens, Mac n cheese, corn bread and tea. The food was delicious. If your looking for a home cook meal like Mom use to make. This is it. Taste and see for yourself.
I visited Kinfolk on yesterday during bike week. The customer service was impeccable but did not match the quality of food. I ordered a pork chop sandwich and chicken wings. The porch chop was about 9.00 and I received one thin, dried out pork chop on 2 pieces of white bread. It was salty, tasteless and clearly not worth this amount of money. My 10 pice wings were old and freezer burned and absolutely disgusting. It is obvious why the shop across the street is always packed and overflowing. Kinfolk please do better with your quality of food for the customers that do try to support you.
Wife and I are on vacation and wanted some home cooking. Let me tell you, they did not disappoint. The food was hot, well seasoned, delicious and had generous portions. A must if you'd like good food
I came to Daytona from Atlanta and wanted to try some good soul food and I looked online read the reviews and I tried kinfolks. I had the turkey wings and my fiance had the oxtails. I had the pound cake for dessert and my fiance has the red velvet cake for dessert. Every single item that I ordered was good, the taste was well seasoned and the pound cake I will order it over and over and over again if I could! But the red velvet cake was definitely not good. I can tell the difference between homemade and box cake and this was definitely box cake. But I would definitely eat there again maybe just not any dessert.
Our meatloaf was raw and my banana pudding the bananas were black wouldn’t recommend
I should have taken a picture but I was hungry lol. The food was delicious, just like a Sunday dinner from someone who can cook. I got baked chicken ,yellow rice, greens, and mac n cheese. All things im very picky about and I have no complaints. Chicken fell off the bone. Delicious and we had three full meals with sides and cornbread for 35 bucks. Will definitely go back i wanna try the peach cobbler and lemon pepper wings.
