This place just happened to be in close proximity to the Best Western hotel i was staying at and I'm so glad. The chef gave us a delicious roll on the house and the server was very friendly. It was an oasis in a sea of chain restaurants.
Sushi was excellent quality! Mango roll very good, except missing eel on top. Soup and green tea both weak!
Gorgeous ambience, amazing service, and a plethora of delicious options for any and all sushi lovers who are looking for a great time - thankfully I'm only a couple of hours away; can't wait to return again during my next Daytona trip.
I've been wanting to eat here for a while and I finally did. This was just the 2ndtime since moving here 4 years ago. It was rated well and it didn't disappoint again. I started with the steamed Gyoza. I then ordered the Fancy Q and Mixed Fish rolls. Let's just say, all were excellent. The rolls were plenty big and filling. The Gyoza was really tasty. In all, I am glad I came here for sushi. Everything was fresh and tasted just right. The place was not very busy but don't let that fool you. It just means that your service is quick, you have the restaurant to yourself and you will have all the attention. Bring a date or just by yourself. You will enjoy it. I recommend.
I've been here a few times and it's been wonderful each time, ESPECIALLY this last time!I ordered the gyoza and was given complimentary soup while it was being prepared, which was very quickly! The gyoza were large, perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful.I ordered the Osaka Fancy Sushi Roll and was given a Soft Shell Crab appetizer even though I hadn't finished my gyoza or soup! It was lightly battered and had HUGE pieces of crab in it and a perfect sauce to compliment it: I ate it all!The sushi was delivered quickly and although I was getting full already, I had to try it: it was attractive and looked deeelish! It was soooo good. perfect temperature, precisely rolled, and so fresh that it melted in my mouth! I ate all my delicious food but a few pieces of sushi and had to take it togo so I could enjoy later!The service/staff was friendly, attentive, timely. The restaurant is very clean, soothing contemporary decor, and quiet. It is the best dining experience in all of Central Florida!I have been to many restaurants these past few years and they've all gone downhill and disappoint BUT NOT "Fancy Q Japanese and Thai Restaurant" in Daytona Beach!Love this place! Location is very inconspicuous. Literally in a strip mall behind a gas station (super close to I-95 International Speedway exit if you're traveling, stop in). But the BEST sushi my husband and I have had in years... at a much better price than other places. (If you've been to Fugo -we live in Ormond Beach-... no comparison.) I discovered it from friends posting about it on Facebook. Of course I posted on Facebook. One friend told me to quit posting it on FB - they wanted to keep it exclusive!!! ;) Seriously fresh fish, seriously fresh tasting, NO HEADACHE (from whatever some places add to their sushi), impeccable service, reasonable pricing, generous wine pours. Our sushi favorite. Appreciate this restaurant in the middle of what we're seeing in 2022 at so many restaurants. Fancy Q is keeping up to pre-covid, pre-employment issues, pre-supply chain issues... EXCELLENT!!! Treat yourself if you're in the area. Oooops forgot to mention the freebies/surprises they bring like a special tasty snack/appetizer and miso soup. This place is incredible!!! Reading options below for me to answer - tables are social distanced, but nothing formal. Have hand sanitizer dispensers all over the place. Also on the questions below - it's sushi and Thai. Pricing - the choices I have I'm saying "mid-range" but for sushi - total value... no option to indicate best value ever on sushi...
I’m not a culinary expert by any means but I’ve eaten Sushi and Oriental food at some of the best restaurants in America. Came to Daytona to visit my son in collage, took him out to dinner. This is a very good restaurant in my opinion. The food was perfectly prepared and delicious.The service was very good and I was Pleasantly surprised. I highly recommend a try.
Friendly and fast service for a sushi restaurant. I ordered the delicious Pad Thai which had their own flavor/taste compared to usual Pad Thai.Since we will be traveling to Daytona beach a lot, we will definitely stop by again and enjoy their menu. Thanks.
The food was absolutely delicious and the staff was genuinely friendly. The food came out hot and fresh. The pad Thai had generous portions to share or to take half home, but more importantly, each bite invited the next. It was so good. The red curry was full of flavor. The hibachi noodles satisfied the picky eater of our group. The staff was friendly and patient and answered all our questions. The waitress was observant and made great recommendations as it was our first time there. We left totally satisfied and delighted with deciding to eat at Fancy Q.
Pretty good Asian food my daughter and I stopped in after the Daytona 500 have the time of our lives it’s all extremely fresh ginger was marvelous. We have the steak and scallops and California roll… absolutely delicious would come back highly recommend
