There were "NO CRAB LEGS AT ALL" and when I asked, I was told that they have "NOT SERVER THEM FOR QUITE SOME TIME"... The seating near the window was "HOT AND HUMID" (The Seling Fan Was Not Working) and "NOT A HINT OF A/C IN OUR SECTION"... A "PLASTIC FLOOR FAN WAS BROUGHT OUT BUT WAS LITTLE TO NO COMFORT"... "FRIED FOOD WAS UNDER COOKED AND RUBBERY, NO SOUP AND THE DESERTS WERE NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURES POSTED ON THERE WEB SITE"... $120.00 WAISTED... (BIRTHDAY DINNER FOR TWO) ... ""NEVER AGAIN"".... PAYS TO READ THE REVIEWS FOR THE PAST COUPLE OF YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Soggy reheated fried food
We went for the dinner buffet to celebrate my birthday. I went based on the pictures and online reviews. We were very disappointed. Nothing like we expected especially since its located in the Hilton. The selection was very limited. The set up was in a small corner room and not appealing at all. Half if what I tried was dead cold and the other half was bland or greasy. We also noticed that even though it was a Saturday, it was very quiet only about 5 tables were occupied (we visited April 2022). We were also expecting some other seafood selections..there was cocktail shrimp and fried cod that was as bland and cold as sandpaper. Needless to say we would not go back or recommend it. Definitely not worth the price. The only bright spark was our server Ali. She was very polite and attentive. I didn't even take any pictures of the meals because there was nothing worth taking.
Everything was okay from the breakfast buffet. Our server was good. The downfall of Doc Bales' Grill on Sunday morning, May 29, was Phillip the cook coming over to our table and being way too pushy about us giving a review right then and there, in the middle of us eating. Weren't even close to being done. It was very rude. Guy does not belong with guests. Wouldn't leave until he sees my girlfriend open the review page on her phone completely invading her privacy, and wants to proceed to tell us exactly what to write on the review.. felt like we were being held hostage. I don't like that because first off, we will give a review when and if we want, but especially not in the middle of eating our meal. Our experience wasn't even over yet. Secondly, your not going to tell us what to write in our review sentence for sentence. That's absurd. Shame on you Phillip. Learn to take some social cues.
Went to the buffet say they had a special memorial weekend buffet the food was fair at best. we did have a nice service One plus is they do validate Valet parking
Tina our server deserves 5 stars but overall experience was awful. The advertise a menu but when we get here the only choice we’re given is the breakfast buffet, with a hot omelet, “sausage” which is essentially one of those hot dog links ? gross, fruit that’s hardly ripe and lacking, coffee was buffet coffee so take that as you will. Honestly just go to the iHop down the road - sure you won’t get a view but at least the food will be better.
This place has the best view from indoor waterfront in Daytona Beach we have ever enjoyed. The servers were great, actually remarkably more pleasant and accommodating than we expected. The food was buffet and even the servers at the carving station, etc. were very good. All the foods we had were delicious and the right temperature. There was something for everyone. Remember that this is a hotel restaurant and anyone, in just about any attire can venture in to eat. Not a problem for us but may be to others expecting a little more formal atmosphere. And it has complimentary valet parking if you spend a certain amount in the restaurant. It was great! We will return there soon. It exceeded our expectations.
Dont eat here. They make it seem like they have all you can eat crab legs but that's discontinued. Prime rib is over cooked. Everything else was either dried out or missing. Then the topper is they added a 20% gratuity to my bill but then made it seem like it wasn't there to try and get another tip. Come on Hilton, you can do better than this cause for over $100.00 for 2 people to eat greasy food, it was a waste of money and will ensure to never recommend this to anyone else!!!
I decided to try it because the reviews and because it's on a Hilton property. I was very disappointed. It was very quiet for the weekend with only about four tables occupied. The dinner buffet was limited and in a small space. The food was cold as was mentioned to the server. The fried cod was greasy, and the only seafood I saw was the cocktail shrimp. The food was overpriced in my opinion for the selection. It was not special. The only bright spark was our server Alexandra, she was a gem. We wouldn't go back, nor would we recommend it.
We tried the breakfast buffet at Doc Bale’s … fresh and delicious options! Carla provided great service consistently checking on us with refills and a smiling face! She made sure we were set with a beverage to go! Thank you! We will come again and recommend to others!
