Delicious food! Best Ribs in Town! Friendly Staff! Highly recommended!!!!
I'm not a personal fan of ribs, but my family loves the ribs here. I tried the brisket and chicken combo plate. Brisket was delicious, soft, and flavorful. It need a bit of salt, as did the chicken, but I could've had an entire plate of it. Paired it with a lemonade. Chicken was alright, had a nice charcoal crunch. Coleslaw and bread included with most meals are quite good too.Ambiance is rustic and american, food comes out in less than 5 minutes and is very very filling.
The ribs are nice and tender. Good portions and lots to choose from. Been a staple in my diet for years!
I've been going to Shorty's for longer than I care to remember I grew up down south in Dade County where the original one is. Although it's still good barbecue they're shorties sauce is not at all what it used to be. Coleslaw is still good but a little dry. But like most restaurants these days I can't afford to eat there anymore. Too bad I smoke my own ribs at home now.
Just my opinion but I have been there twice and both times I was so disappointed that they will not put BBQ sauce on my chicken and char it for me. I hate squeezing sauce on hot meat ,that's not BBQ to me. Again, my opinion and I am in the restaurant industry and been to many BBQ places .
My wife had a stomach surgery and was given an ID to show in restaurants in order to be able to eat from the kids menu. We never had an issue before until this visit in this restaurant. The waitress denied serving her from the menu
It was much better about 10 years ago and before, I guess the southern folk who were born in the area and worked there moved away...now, it's like BBQ from the food trucks in Miami, definitely NOT genuinely southern or as good that's for sure!!
Best ribs and chicken.. plus the best darn fried okra and chicken wings in town !!!! Just love this place…
Delicious! One of my favorite places for bbq. Fresh, good portion sizes at very good pricing. Service and cleanliness were good. We will be back. Always check online for coupons. ?
