Bland steak is never a good sign of a steakhouse. Unmoved by food overall and not worth the money. Itâs clean, great staff and servers but the food is really not that well done. Itâs underwhelming. If youâre REALLY in a âsteakhouseâ mood and youâre a guest of the property, okay, youâve got little choice. However, if pitted against another property dining experience, this would never get first choice. Itâs an overpriced exaggerated experience. One manâs opinion but a pretty experienced one.
We went for a date night. Weâve been to the council oak in Tampa and had such a different experience. The server was excellent and the hostesses were very nice and our server was very attentive they are the reason we are even giving two stars. On the other hand our food came out within 10 minutes of ordering. The steaks were cold and felt as if they were reheated. Our side dishes felt as if they were from another persons order and just taken back to the kitchen then given to us. If we would do it again we would have saved the money and made dinner at home.
The steak was bland! It had no flavor whatsoever. I'm not quite sure, if it's because our reservation was close to closing time, and the Chefs were tired... but this is my second time there and both occasions I wasn't impressed. The fries arrived at our table super cold and the batch was light. Unfortunately the kitchen was not able to make a fresh batch! So I had dinner without fries, and I love fries!The bread served was also cold. It's a beautiful restaurant, but the food is not up to par for the money spent.
