Let's talk about how amazing this place is!! I am beyond impress given that I love Thai food and basically eat it once a week and I think I found my new home. The chicken satay was an extremely generous portion and the peanut sauce is to die for. The hot saki was extremely hot and extremely delicious the way it should be served. The food was excellent. The service was not good. Definitely understaffed. I had a curry dish and my husband had sushi. My dinner came and I finished my food before he got his sushi. Again the food is great.
Sushi is something very exclusive. It is not like a McDonald's, not like a hot dog, not like a French fry. Florida on the ocean from both sides, and find good fish is really hard. But what is really bad is the price of the fish. Sometimes you think to go and fish by yourself. About this place: pretty small place with friendly waitress and if you see better choice of Sushi and Sashimi. But waiting time around 30-40 min. So be ready.
Great experience as a first time visitor. Lunch specials were large portions, exceptional presentation and so fresh. The service team were attentive and fun. Defiantly made it to my Favorite Sushi places list. Plenty of parking and outdoor seating for those who look to sit outside.
Me and my husband have dined in for sushi a few times and it was always great! We decided to order take out and try the stir fry and fried rice. Never again! The steak and chicken were bland and there were only a few pieces of veggies when we ordered extra, the greens salad was a joke and the fried rice that we paid extra for, tasted like plain white rice. A waste of $60. We just gave it to our dog. Such a shame because we really liked this place.
I ordered take out from here first. 3 sushi rolls & a garlic chicken lunch special. Everything was AMAZING! so good that I took a date for lunch the next day. We had the volcano lunch special, Philadelphia roll, Hot JB, spicy tuna & Mexican roll followed by Thai donuts for dessert. This place blew me & my date away! The portions are generous j the food is amazingly fresh. I am a long time local & have gone next door to Bangkok Cafe since i was a child & though it has a special place in my heart, Kub Kao has a special place in my stomach & I plan on eating her often in the future. The vibe in the restaurant is relaxed & clean. The Thai iced tea was amazing as well. The prices & amazing service from Kim & Ere (sorry for spelling, sounds like “air”) are what will keep me coming back.
