Live in the Nieghborhood since 1997 We always enjoyed this place ( it only had 2 owners since then the originator Antonio and the current owner a former employee) I wrote this review as the food is consistent, pizza is great, so are the other menu items, I’m a very picky person I tell like it is and this place gives there all, always pleasant as well. Good job keep up the good work Donatos see you again.
Google suggested and compared it to Ostero Romano in Trumbull, CT. Google owes us money! This was by far the worst meal we ever had to pay for. $80 later with $5 tip and we were generous. We should have known from the minute we pulled up to the parking lot. 7:30 Valentines day and 3 tables filled. We thought, ok... its a small town restaurant, but no. It is probably the small towns worst Italian restaurant. It started with asking if they had wine. What kind of chardonnay? Waitress; white. Oh boy we should've left then. Ordered calamari, it was rubbery and they didn't even have the decency to include lemon wedges. I ordered chicken francesse it was extremely lemony and chicken was rubbery. My husband ordered the veal saltimboboca it came with frozen spinach, watery, tasteless, and veal was tough. Shameful to serve anyone that meal and call it Italian.
Good local Italian restaurant in the Weston, Davie area. Worth a visit. Full menu. Fair prices. Friendly service. Simple decor. Family friendly. Not too comfortable seats.
The pizza is OK but way too pricey. It's a lot better and ALOT cheaper in other placesI have also had a couple of other things on the menu but still better in other places and cheaper..
This place has GREAT PIZZA. Like, AMAZING. One of my favorites I've tried in South FL, and i've tried a lot.that's literally the only good thing on their menu unfortunately. the pasta is too watery and they package it terribly so that the watery sauce leaks onto the bag and makes a huge mess, they never give napkins. The calzone was THE worst. it's literally just dough and cheese. the dough is dry. most restaurants will butter/oil the dough, add sauce, etc. it was literally terrible, i didnt even finish. it was really terrible and so disappointing! stick to the pizza and/or mozzarella sticks. also the pricing is really sketchy? they change every time you order and they give you attitude when you ask.
Donato was my first boss I ever had. Originally the restaurant was called Antonios but he came in and took over ?. He is an awesome person and an authentic Italian. I don’t know about you but that’s who I would want to make me my Italian dinner. Pizza is awesome, him and his daughter are great people and passionate about there service and quality of food. Highly recommend you experience for yourself. Thank you Donato you the man!
Awesome friendly service and the food was delicious!
I’ve been here a few times with my boyfriend. We try something different every time we come and everything we’ve tried has been great.
10 out of 10. Highly recommend. This place is so yummy! They have the best pizza and definitely try the penne al la vodka. Delicious. The meat sauce is incredible also. I could never say anything negative about this place. The service is 5 stars.
My food was ready too quickly for it to be fresh, and the pasta was cut in half. It was oily, so I had a hard time twirling it around my fork due to it being cut short. Real Italian chefs don't cut their pasta. When I called and spoke with a manager, he seemed speechless and offered to make me a new dish. I don't live nearby, so it's a shame that this place is the first one that I've ever been to that cuts their pasta in half before cooking it. I would have given one star, but at least the manager tried to be polite.
