First time coming to this restaurant and honestly wouldn't come back or recommend it to anyone. I purchased two Mofongo dishes with meat. The churrasco was flavorful but the fried chicharrón wasn't at ALL, plus it was super dry. Also, the restaurant packed the salad in the same to go box which caused the croutons to be soggy. $40+ gone to waste.
Food excellent taste.. clean establishment but servers should be a bit more attentive to their customers. Shout out too Yarelis the only server who took care of us..Go and enjoy your lunch or dinner at the La Criolla Cafe...
La Criolla is now a restaurant at 39895 Hwy 27 across from AdventHeart of Florida in the Publix plaza. And it’s scrumpdeliociousness! I had the mofongo (first, but not the last time) and I wanted to lick the bowl. The salmon with the fresh mango salsa was sssooo great, too. And the berry dressing with the salad was yummy. My colleague has the chicken and equally loved hers! Can’t wait to go back! ♥️♥️♥️
Hello! here I will say the good and the bad, the place looks clean and the food is good, but that depends on the day, (there are good days and bad days) I think it depends on the cook, inside the service is good, but whenever I ask for bring the rice is hard. I recommend the mofongo with grilled breast, because the meals are very expensive for the portion they give you, for example mofongo with fried meat, they give you 4 blocks of meat, some fats or hard parts and the same with the chicken pork rinds. Here I share a photo of his fritanga that for the price of $19.32 for the little it brings, like almost all they have.
Place is very clean, service was excellent and the wait wasn't too bad. We ordered 5 plates and all were very good, our son said the tripleta was okay.
I have been wanting to try this place for a long time. I ordered a simple and traditional dish to try to get a feel for authentic Puerto Rican cuisine. They scored a 100% in my book in presentation, flavor, & service! Highly Recommended!
The food tasted delicious. However, the inconsistency in the serving portions gave it away. One person serve generous portions the other one serve very little. We bought 2 of the exact same meals for the same price, and you can see the difference in the picture.
This place have amazing puertorrican food ?? I have to say that at least the 5 plates we ordered were incredibly delicious ?. I didn't give the 5? because we ordered a tres leche and it was spoiled ? So we asked for a flan and it was better . Also the waitress was very nice but before we pay, she disappeared, I asked another waitress and apparently she went on break without saying anything and never came back.??♀️ . For the rest, I have no complaints??
Service and food was great, they make one of the best sandwiches in the area from cubano, tripleta or platano with anything! Ask for they're mayo ketchup sauce.
Great service and food. My favorite place to eat Puerto Rican food when working/visiting Davenport.
