Interesting dinner experience. It’s obviously a very popular place. Over 50 people were waiting outside for them to open. I really liked that they served you rather than worrying about nasty hands touching all the food. Ribs were okay but mostly overcooked. Has was sweet and well glazed. Mac and cheese was a bit over cooked. Creamed corn was yummy. Overall good but definitely a local delight.
You would be hard pressed to find better home style country cooking anywhere. I grew up working in my Memaw’s Restaurant in Alabama through the 70’s & 80’s. Since then I’ve always been very critical of everyone else’s steam table food. Hers was better, but his place deserves a Gold Star as a very close second. What looks to have once been a retail store space in Historic Downtown Crestview now does Country Cookin via Steam table service. Amazing food, small town charm and very friendly staff. Their Bread Pudding is the bomb!
A group of us went to Desi's and ate lunch. Louis was our server and she was excellent. The food was great and as always I ate the chocolate cake. This is the only place that eat chocolate cake because it's so wonderful.We also meet a group of military people whom were so polite that when asked they used my phone and took a picture of all of us.Desi's is the best place in Crestview to eat Monday - Friday 11 am to 1:30 pm.
You can't beat the food here. If it is southern comfort food you're looking for, then look no further. Family owned/operated this place has a warm atmosphere to go with the great food. Highly recommend it!
It was Desi's 1st time doing a dinner night, as they are only open during the day, it was awesome, Service and food was superb. When we got there the line was ok but it got super long, but as always it went quick. Overall, awesome buffet, with plenty of selections, and great service.
We love this place, but likely won't continue going as often as we want. Tonight it was $36 for two of us...that's $18 each. This did not include the cash tip we left on the table. Just too expensive.
