Totally unremarkable food and wholly inadequate service.------------------I decided to give David's Catfish House another chance after having been thoroughly disappointed several months earlier.If anything, it was worse than before.Their "signature" coleslaw was hideous and the catfish ... and the catfish - namesake entree of the restaurant - was nothing I'd ever go out of my way for again.The only thing more offputting than the food was the service ... or the lack of same. It seemed I was more a burden to be dealt with than a guest.
EVERYTHING was cold, the rice was raw, the bill was embarrassing for such poor microwave grade food, if you decide David's TV dinner house be my guest, what a waste of valuable property and such a disappointment. Kitchen needs an upgrade. Management was no where to be found, while waiting an hour for ice cold meals we couldn't help but notice the amount of to-go-orders that where more important than dine in customers, what a way to represent the city Crestview ?
The food was delicious but this was the third time we didn't get all our food. The catfish dinner was to come with hush puppies, it didn't (3rd time). The pork chop dinner was suppose to come with Texas toast, it didn't (3rd time). I have to drive 8 miles to pick this us so after the first time we didn't get all our food we made sure to tell the person who took the order to make sure everything was there. But they didn't. So maybe this will help you to train the staff to insure the orders or complete before going out. Thanks
Really good food. We had three full catfish, baked beans, french fries, cheese grits and fried shrimp. Everything was perfect. The shrimp was really good and it was not over breaded, same as the catfish. The place is very clean and staff is friendly. The I lynthing I noticed was the pictures where you sit in the booth need to be wiped down but other than that it's a perfect place to eat.

Loved the food! The young lady who waited on us was so efficient. In fact, she was working as cashier, hostess, table cleaner and waitress. Little blond!! Thanks again for your great service.
The okra, hush puppies and baked beans were good as the fried fish but the famous cheese grits and cole slaw was lacking flavor. Cole slaw puree instead of chopped and the cheese grits not cheese grits tasted like regulargrits. The service was good..
First visit and I’m pretty sure we will be back. My only complaint (hence the 4 stars) is it must have went from the grease to the plate, no stop in between to drain off excess grease. All the sides were good, the service was good, the price was o.k. for the amount of food you got. The best part is the cat fish didn’t taste like mud!
I ordered 12/21/21 6 meals were told the food would be ready in 30 minutes. I came on my lunch break waited an hour. One meal was missing that still have yet to be prepared. I can attest since the previous owners the food isn't as good as before the pandemic. The manager would not come out to resolve the issue.They continuously sent a young waitress back and forth with messages. Needless to say, I was late getting back to work. The issue was never resolved properly. I will never return to this establishment. My order was $88+ I still left a tip.
Love this place! Some of the best batter and the sides are terrific. It's quality food. Great for lunch or a big family gathering. Because of the type of food the cost is slightly more than some of the other box restaurants, but the quality and taste is well worth it. They even have some super desserts. Try their redneck beignets.
