Very good food clean restaurant comfortable and friendly
Eating at a deli reminds me of my childhood, most of the time I'm satisfied eating here in Too Jay's I appreciate a fatty corned beef half sour pickle and a Dr Brown celerysoda. It seems no one carries celery soda anymore and it's very hard to find a fatty corned beef fat is were the flavor lives. The sandwich was delicious for those who like it lean not for me. I enjoy liver and onions and this is the only restaurant where I will eat it. The service personnel is very busy but highly efficient. Matzo ball soup was delicious the desserts are awesome.
We frequent usually at least 2-3 times monthly for family dinner. They're Always consistent with the menu item preparation. We enjoy the food here but the main reason we come is for our server. Richie is our favorite, He makes each visit special. He's always attentive, great sense of humor, just an all around great guy who greets us like family every time. Be sure to ask for him! ? ?? ? ? ? ? ?
Their prices went up but so did every other place. Their portions are very good. I had a Ceasar salad, brisket with pancakes and broccoli. The price was $18.99. This was a fair price for the amount of food. My friend had a Greek salad with chicken and pita bread. It was $13.99 + $3 for the chicken. It was a big salad and well forth the price.
great service great food while some food nice size portions
Loved plantation local. Ordered delivery last night. Didn't receive a soup so driver went & got but that is restaurants job. Ordered brisket dip. Great brisket, but where was the dip, horseradish and caramelized onions. Daughter order chicken wrap, where was the chicken and stale wrap. 2 sandwiches no coleslaw or pickles. Fries were cold but food delivered within 20inute window. French onion soup great as always. 1/2 dozen black & white cookies had been in and out of cooler so MANY times because in sealed container and were mush from condensation. Salt & pepper never hurt food. Have ate 2 times before just because daughter likes French onion.
Was disappointed as my daughter and I was looking forward for a N.Y style Pastrami sandwich , first the Waitress was overwhelmed by serving inside and out while two men were standing around doing little to help her or help us. When the sandwiches came it was not what we expected....a cold tough Pastrami that no doubt came from a supply center that could have been the same from any supermarket deli. I can't reccomend Too Jay's ...if I was by myself I would have walked out .
We were a party of 6 and were sat right away. Then we were ignored for 15 minutes (the hostess brought H2O)while tables all around us that came after us were seated and had their food orders taken. We stopped 3 servers and they were all sorry and said they’d send someone right away. No one came so we walked out. What a shame that TooJays management will allow customers to be ignored and to walkout. I guess business is too good.
I went into TooJay's to order a birthday cake to be picked up on Saturday. Provided the names of my wife and son both born Feb 15th, that's right. I picked up that cake about noontime on Saturday which was paid for on Wednesday but didn't look at it until I got home. When I did there was No Happy Birthday No Names just an ordinary cake that you could get from anywhere. WHy would someone order in advance an off the shelf cake three days in Advance. That place has gone seriously down hill during the past few years. The thing that angers me the most is that they advertise cakes for occasions like weddings and birthdays! Never again will I buy anything there. Next year I'll get the cake anyplace else, Even Publix supermarket would have been better.
Quick and prompt service. We were seated and served within 2 minutes, that’s a whopping record in my books. .The interior design would have anyone guessing what is the base culture, I’m believing it’s European. I highly recommend you try the crock French onion soup, served hot with melted cheese on top. Undoubtedly the chopped liver was delicious, tho I opt not to have, due to personal preferences. I had the finest gourmet hot dog ever, loaded with pastrami and a fresh coleslaw. Though I felt like the lemonade was not made from scratch, I did enjoy every minute while eating there.A full 5 stars I would give and definitely I will return.
