First time in a number of years we visited El Mariachi. We were greeted promptly and we got our drinks and food quickly. Strange thing was that we were not served the chips and salsa until the entrees arrived. Also the salsa was weak and watery. The entrees were excellent and full of flavor. Restaurant was clean and our server was very attentive. Worth a repeat visit in the future. :)
Nice tasty food… Very ample location with outside seating and loud latin music playingFree chips and salsa.. yummy !Staff nice and courteous
What a terrible experience I had.. first and last time I’ll ever come to this restaurant. Our waiter which was an older guy kept rushing me and my husband on our order and wouldn’t even let me finish my plate of food, he was in such a hurry to pick up our plates . He has no etiquette at all. Very unprofessional. And to top it off we caught him scratching his armpit while serving food and bringing drinks. So nasty.. The food itself was actually really good but the waiter we had made it terrible experience for us. We didn’t last an hour in this place.
The only thing good was the chips, and salsa. Chicken from the chimichanga tasted like it was chicken from a can. The rice and beans was equally just as nasty. Will not return… Our waitress was very sweet though.
Selected this restaurant as a result of a TV show review. Dined with five others. The Cuban menued item was the attraction for our restaurant choice. My meal was supposed to be their "special secret" recipe locked in a vault and comprised of 110 ingredients. The excitement and anticipaton was off the charts. Unfortunately, the shredded pork meal was a disappointment. It was dry and bland. If I had closed my eyes, the white rice and beans could have been ordered from Pollo Loco. The plantain accompaniment was the best item on the dish. Three of us ordered this dish and all three share this review. Another item ordered was the Cuban pork chops. Same sad outcome. Two Mexican dishes were ordered, shrimp fajita salad and a chile rellenos meal. Both were enjoyed. Best to say that this is a typical Mexican restaurant with mediocre Cuban offerings. Not worth the trip.
good food and good music....
Took the family of six adults to El Mariachi for daughter-in-laws birthday lunch. It was a beautiful day and many people were eating outside, but we chose to be seated inside. The back room was empty and quiet. I came in starving and really appreciated the chips and salsas that were brought to the table. Our entrees consisted of Grilled Chicken Burrito, Margarita Salad, Chicken Fajita, El Rey Burrito, Fajita Explosion with steak, and my choice of Milanesa, from the Cuban menu, which consisted of a huge, fried chicken cutlet smothered with melted cheese. Of course, served with white rice, black beans and plantains. The portions were very respectable and everyone cleaned their plates. Service was very good, room was comfortable and food was delicious.
Excellent and friendly servers. Excellent drinks and food very tasty. Never get disappointed when I go. Many times visiting in Coral Springs. Some weekends they have live music which I enjoy too.
Not crowded when I was here. I had the chicken burrito with yellow rice and retried beans. Tasty. I also had chips and salsa. Reasonably priced. Service was above average.
We sat outside, was a beautiful day. Good service, very tasty food and the margarita was quite good. I will surely visit again.
