We went on a Friday night without a reservation and were lucky enough to get a seat at the bar (my preferred spot). This is definitely a place you want to make a reservation for if you are going with more than a party of 2 people. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I really liked how they all knew each menu item and created a story around the food. They have cocktails and a great sake selection available. Now onto the food, it is a menu that changes daily so do not go 100% by what you are seeing on the website. We went to grab some quick bites before meeting friends and tried the following:- Wahoo Crudo ($18)- An experience and quite frankly the star of the night - the ajo blanco was perfect. Coupled with the very tender wahoo and the pickled grapes left me wanting more.- Sheng jian bao ($13)- Underwhelming (especially after the wahoo) - overall was lacking flavor. The brisket was a bit dry and could've been enhanced with the guava hoisin in the bao vs on the side. The real star of this plate was the side pickles surprisingly.- Roasted grouper ($38) - Bland and disappointing - It is served on top of a mushroom and summer squash, coconut bisque with flavors so subtle they barely come through. The grouper was well cooked but again no flavors that stood out. I wish there was some toast given to mop up the delicate flavors of the bisque. For the price, I definitely expected more.Overall, I was excited to visit this place after hearing so much about it, and am sad to say I was underwhelmed. I was going to give it 2 stars, but decided on 3 because the service and wahoo crudo definitely deserved 5 stars. While I'd be open to giving it another try, I will not be running back.
One of the best restaurants we’ve eaten at in South Florida. Simple and relatively casual but excellent food and phenomenal service. The cocktails are amazing and they have very good non alcoholic options for those that don’t drink or are trying to drink less. The dumplings were likely our favorite as well as the steak tar tar. The snapper was one of the best fish dishes I’ve ever had as well.
From the minute we walked in the door, we knew we found something unique. This was, by far, the absolute best service we have ever received at a restaurant. Extremely knowledgeable staff (who knows their menu well), and knows how to make you feel very, very special. The food was extraordinary. A small menu, but each dish was carefully mastered with incredible flavors and detail. The ambience is delightful and warm. Outdoor seating is available. Reservations are absolutely necessary if you want to enjoy this great addition to Miami dining.
I love Zitz Sum since the hardcore pandemic days and delivery, no joke, it made 2020 a lot better. The restaurant is super cute, you can see all the personal touches, a great space to be with friends and family because you can actually hear each other. The menu changes often, so go frequently, a pro tip is to always share the dishes to try out more things, and keep in mind the dumplings are the starts of the show.
The restaurant is inside of a building, FYI. That being said, food was delicious. Concise menu that changes daily. No full bar, only beer, wine, and sake.. they didn’t have the bottle that we wanted and suggested the carafe instead..but somehow they charged the bottle price for the carafe..? $38 carafe is a bit high….Ambiance: lights were very bright, and the music was LOUD. I would suggest lights need to be dimmed down to enhance the ambiance, and music turned down just a tad, specially since it seems the restaurant hosts an older crowd. All in all, I would for sure go back because dat curry noodlessssss yummmm
I've been to Miami three times in the past year. The first thing I do after booking my flight and hotel is to book a reservation here. It feels like home whenever I go into his restaurant. Chef Pablo treats everyone like his family. You can tell his staff loves working here and is so passionate about what they're doing. Now to the food. This is my favorite restaurant in Miami. The flavors you try here are like nothing that you could have never imagined. The Tuna appetizer is one of the best dishes I've ever tried. You may think the combination of tuna with Parmesan may not work but it is FANTASTIC. You can't go wrong with any of the dim sum items on the menu. You can tell Chef Pablo, Chef Guido and his team put so much love into every single dumpling. All of the food is served family style so you're able to have a taste of everything without feeling like you're overeating. Don't forget about the rice and noodle dishes. The Japanese style rice is a new dish and tastes so fantastic and is so special.Save room for desert, the sweets are so delicious and have the same amazing flavors as the main dish. The Hong Kong French Toast is SO GOOD. What a delicious treat.Again, I can't overstate how fantastic this restaurant is and how amazing Chef Pablo and the entire staff are. Everyone is so nice and it feels like home. This is a MUST for anyone heading to Miami!!!
What started as a pandemic dumpling pop-up is now among the best restaurants in Miami. It would be hard to find a more creative and delicious menu anywhere.
Wow! Please don’t go. We need to keep this place a secret.. ?I agree with others who say the music is too loud. I liked the music a lot but we wanted to chat so we sat outside.
Somewhat of a small menu but what it lacks in size it makes up in quality, literally every item is delicious, extremely flavorful, wonderful ambience
Try everything. Small bites but the flavors justify the price. Small venue so make a reservation. The rest is up to you…..
