One of the best sushi options in the area! I’ve been to them all and this Sushi Maki consistently ranks as one of my top go-to sushi options. The sushi here is always fresh and the tempura is always crispy. We’ve had numerous items on the menu and have always been pleased with our orders. Our favorites are the dragon, red dragon, and budda-cane rolls.The service is also so welcoming. Leroy is the best and is always so friendly and attentive and provides great suggestions. Between the food and the service, this place is hard to beat.
Loved the atmosphere of the place! Possibly because they had the movie Rush Hour playing at the time and it definitely made the experience more enjoyable. The food was delicious, I highly recommend getting the Tuna Poke Nachos to share with a friend! It's also near a local theater and a bookstore, so a perfect spot for lunch and dinner while looking around.
A little disappointed as we’ve been before and liked it. We ordered takeout and our dumplings were not fully cooked. Almost like they were frozen and not heated properly. They were hard on the edges. We were so excited for our meal but our food was really low quality tonight. Also, Our tempura was not crunchy as it usually is, but rather, soft and mushy. Just not appetizing. The tuna crunch roll was the best dish and it was a little underwhelming for the price. I might try again in the future but there’s so many so many more sushi options in the area that are better in my opinion! Sad because we live so close and it’s convenient for us
We were out for a walk in the Gables and decided to stop for sushi. We ordered 2 rolls—both were prepared decently and the fish tasted fresh. There was only one other table of guests at 12:30 but it looked like busy take out orders. Maybe that’s why the service was really lackadaisical—had to ask for drink refills, were handed a box for our remaining pieces without any service or ginger or sauce as would find in a take out order and we had the equivalent of a full roll left.
Me and my husband stopped here for a lunch time snack and we were surprised! We are so used to getting small rolls but these were larger and much more filling. So fresh and delicious! We left stuffed! I love this place. I’ve been dining in as well as ordering for pick up and delivery from this location for years. They have a good selection, fish is always fresh and service is wonderful. I highly recommend anything on their menu.
This is the second time I placed an order for pick up and the food was not ready by the expected time. I just had to wait an additional 40mins. This place is a joke and a waste of time. The staff are all rude and don’t care. This is my last time ordering from here.
I ordered the grilled chicken teriyaki, the Cali roll and the dragon roll. The rolls were delicious! Definitely satisfied my sushi craving. I gave it four stars cause the rice that came with the chicken teriyaki was super hard. Ended up having to toss it. Not sure if it was made fresh or over cooked. But the sushi rolls made up for it!
Excellent sushi, great cocktails, good service, nice ambiance, convenient location. Prices are high but it’s in the Gables… Not a whole lot more you can ask for here.
We had lunch here today and were very pleased. The sushi was absolutely fresh and very tasty. The mandarin orange salad was phenomenal (I opted not to have either chicken or shrimp added, but just had the salad itself - Excellent!). My wife had both sashimi (tuna) and sushi (rainbow roll), both of which she said were excellent. Service was very good. Prices are competitive.
