Best bacon egg & cheese I’ve ever had! Do yourself a favor and order it in a cheese bagel ?. Also, their apple pie is to die for!
I was an early lover of Madruga Bakery. But I’m begin to wonder if their quality control has declined recently. About a month ago I purchased a pound of chicken salad, which had always been a bit pricey but so delicious it was worth the more expensive price tag. But the pound or so I purchased this time was riddled with unpleasantly crunchy grizzle. When I called to complain they graciously gave me a refund. Today I purchased two chicken empanadas. The first was okay, a bit bland, but okay. But the second one once again had grizzle in it. This time I didn’t bother to call to complain. I just won’t be making any more purchases at what was once one of my favorite places in Coral Gables to eat and buy take home food.
One of the best bakery’s I ever tried, super clean and excellent service. this place definitely deserve a 5 stars
We discovered this pleasant and friendly bakery cafe a few months ago and started to go there regularly. Good coffee, bread and baked goods. Can do better on baked goods variety. Excellent service and employees attitude.
Amazing authentic Cuban food. We were stuck in traffic, and my son and I were starving. We took a chance and are so happy we did. They're a family business, who's kindness made our experience unforgettable. A tremendous experience across the board. We had Cuban sandwiches that were truly superb. Highly recommend.
I (like everyone else in South Miami it seems) am obsessed with Madruga. Get ready for a line if you come on the weekends but know that the wait is worth it.The croissants are some of the best I’ve ever had and are simultaneously chewy and flaky. Ditto for the bagels which are only available on the weekends and are life-changing as well.Their barista is incredible, serving up CounterCulture coffee on a single espresso machine. Every time I’ve been in the woman’s handling it like a pro, churning out lattes and cafe con leches seemingly effortlessly. If you can get a table inside kudos to you, but the park down the street is a nice place to take your breakfast to go!
Line all the way outside. Very short staffed. Girl taking the orders at the door somewhat rude and overwhelmed! If you want to come for breakfast/lunch while you work, go somewhere else! They do not have WiFi for guests OR the don’t want ro share it.There are plenty amazing croissant and coffee places with better customer service and options!
This is one of the best bakeries in the city. The staff are incredible and the food is worth the high price point. My faves are the seeded baguette, breakfast sandwich and the incredible gooey chocolate chip cookie. This place is hard to beat.
We are fortunate to have Madruga as our neighborhood bakery. Not only are all of their baked goods delicious, but the staff is beyond kind. They always greet us with a smile and are beyond friendly to my young children.
Addicted. This is the best place in town for a nutritious vegetarian breakfast/lunch. Extremely fresh, high quality, house made (from scratch) food and drinks at a reasonable price. Gets really busy on the weekends (line is always out the door). My favorite place to eat out in Coral Gables. I’d recommend the house made sonora toast with ricotta and jam.
