Originally planned on going to the world famous Versailles but the wait was over an hour and didn’t have time to wait. This restaurant is right down the street and had good reviews. No wait. Very clean. The server was nice although he spoke Spanish but we were able to get by. Had a combo appetizer and the roast pork entree. Both good. The pork was a little dry but tasty. The appetizer tower was nice. Plantain Chips on one level, pork and chicken on the middle and empanadas and croquettes on another. Came with 3 dipping sauces. Very good choice for the money. Also had chicken soup which had chunks of chicken and potato. Overall very good and yay can’t lose going here for authentic Cuban food.
Excellent Vaca frita!! Nicely flavored and crispy! The service was superb! Black beans were excellent too… ah don’t forget the cafecito! Nice little local Cuban place, just a total throwback to how it easy it was to find amazing Cuban food in Miami 30 years ago…
We had read some very good reviews on La Casita and went there based on these positive reviews. The reality was that the food was even better than our expectations! It was great,
Friendly and affordableThis is an authentic Cuban restaurantFood is great, and it's definitely a local favorite
Food was terrible. I ordered a t-bone steak and it had tough nerves going thru it and had no flavor at all. I started to choke in one of those hard nerves and had to call another waiter that was there because I couldn't see ours. I showed him the steak and explained that I almost choked on a tough piece. He was kind enough to offer me something else on the menu and I ordered a pork steak. He brought it out and I ate it but it almost had no seasoning or taste. I had to put salt and lemon so I could at least eat that. I will certainly not be back there again.
Food was alright, nothing great. Menu is meat + plantains. That's basically it. You can look through all the options but they're pretty much all the same.
Went to this restaurant with 7 family members gathered in Coconut Grove (Miami) for reunion. Those who ordered the Oxtail were in heaven. It was flavorful, tender and delicious. One person ordered Red Snapper, grilled, for $22.95, and was very disappointed as it seemed overcooked and/or dry. The other steak dishes were excellent. The arm, buttered Cuban bread when we sat down at the table was dreamy.. Last but not least, the Portillo "Malbec" red wine and the homemade Sangria were excellent choices for beverages. The staff was professional, helpful and attentive. Recognizing that we were the only English-speaking patrons made us feel that the local people also loved the place. For 8 people, the bill before tip was about $265.00; we were pleasantly surprised.
This is the best bread toast I ever had from a restaurant so fresh and the Ham Croquet are so creamy inside very delicious . I got 3 Ham croquet, toast and three cheese, toffee and guava pastry. I haven’t tried it yet . Sevice great!
It is what you expect on restaurant, very clean, good service and good food. The prices are very decent and staff is very kind and attentive. I will recomend this place for casual meeting or lunch with friends. Is kind of formal restaurant, just keep in mind.
Last bite in Miami before the flight home, came here for lunch. The parking lot was limited for parking but the restaurant was very clean, bright and comfortable. The food was delicious! The service was friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommend a stop if in the area.
