Service was not great, there was only one bartender serving the entire restaurant on a Saturday night. Took about 30 mins to get a drink. Food took a while and server even forgot to put in the order for a few of the people in our group. Took about another 45 minutes just to get the check and they couldn’t split it, pretty inconvenient for a party of 8. The food and drink taste were good but the slow service made the overall experience not good.

Three fusions are too many. No dishes were able to shine taste wise.

Service was barely adequate. The food was Ok - just OK, although the wagyu burgers were good. The octopus was atrocious, and I sent it back. The manager was belligerent, defensive and had a terrible attitude. He accused me of not knowing what "good" octopus was (I've had octopus for 30+ years, including live octopus in Japan and recently in Greece). Worst restaurant experience I've had in the last few years. Will certainly not return and advise others not to go there.

First time here last Saturday night. I decided to bring my friends from out of town for dinner after seeing the 4.5 rating. This restaurant is labeled as a “sushi restaurant” but it’s more of an Asian-fusion restaurant. Some of the menu items are South American, like the ceviche, churrasco, parillada Argentina, empanadas and they even have linguine Alfredo (which is Italian!). It’s a bit confusing having all these culturally diverse dishes and still adverting the restaurant as a “sushi restaurant”. My friends decided to order a drink each. We skipped the appetizers and ordered our main courses. I decided on the scallop ceviche roll and my friends ordered two rolls each. There were only two sushi chefs working in the back and maybe that’s why our food took a while to come out? Though the dinning room was not that busy for a Saturday night (around 9:30 pm). After about 30-40 minutes of waiting the server took notice and brought out some plantain chips in a small glass to somehow make up for the long wait. When our food was finally served, my scallop ceviche roll had only 4-pieces! An average roll is 8-pieces... Thankfully my friends ordered two rolls each and they were satisfied with their orders. Needless to say, this place did not live up to the 4.5-star rating. I’ve eaten at less flashier places with better food and service tbh.

Service was excellent, they went out of their way to ensure we were satisfied. Kudos to our bartender from Argentina, great cocktail suggestions and drinks. Lady’s happy hour Prosecco special for $1 is greatly appreciated especially with today’s high inflation. The food was delicious , however we had two items that weren’t up to par and is the reason we didn’t give food five stars: My asparagus was over cooked and wilted, quality of the vegetable was so so. The second was the New York strip, we asked for medium (pink center and juicy). Unfortunately it was closer to well done. Everything else was excellent and the sushi phenomenal. Looking forward to going again soon.

Food was amazing. Beautiful plating and taste. Everything ordered was perfect. Place is very nice and service was good. You can choose to eat outside or inside and they seem to be pet friendly.

My wife and I had dinner last night at Kao. The decor is great. Service was fine. Food was average at best, and these were gnats flying around our table. A $30 chicken dinner consisted of several pieces of chicken thigh in a sauce and some pieces of asparagus. Spring rolls were fine. Beer was cold. My sushi plate had more cream cheese and sauce of some sort than sushi. We won’t be back any time soon. I will go elsewhere for sushi.

It is really hard to impress me with Japanese dishes, but this place managed to it... very fresh fish, large variety of rolls, including cream cheese options, surprising good BTW.. (in my country the Cream Cheese options are very popular and not very easy to find here). We were outside, it was a beautiful day, and we had a very nice experience. Thank you Kao!

We were pleasantly surprised since we came for sushi and it wasn’t the traditional sushi restaurant. The duck dumplings were amazing and that started our meal off beautifully. The staff was great and we had a lovely evening there

Really like the diversity of the menu, food was really good. Excellent service
