This place is fine if you want to wait in line 30 minutes for mediocre ice cream served by a bunch of teenagers! We waited and waited and waited to receive 3 out of the 4 items we ordered. This was brought to our teen friends attention and after waiting another 30 minutes watching customer after customer get served they finally looked up and realized I was still waiting. The shake I got was, as I said earlier, mediocre at best and not worth the $8 price tag! If you want to take the chance of waiting an hour for ice cream go ahead, but my suggestion would be to skip this tourist trap! Go next door to the Tiny Turtle instead and get some good food!

The Fat Donkey was amazing! Busy but line moved quickly. We all tried something different & it was all wonderful! Highly recommend a stop here if you’re visiting.

Don't be scared off by the lines, they move quickly and the wait is worth it! Some of the best handmade ice cream I've had with a wide variety of options. Try going earlier in the afternoon if you can to avoid the evening crowds, and to take the time to sit inside and see all the history with in the film industry, that was one of my favorite parts!

Great ice cream and really unique flavors! Even the soft serve was good. With multiple toppings and cone options, the combinations are endless. It's a walk-up and order type place, so keep that in mind. All in all a great place for ice cream!

Loved the variety of flavors! We tried 3 different scoop flavors and all were delicious! The coconut pineapple is my favorite. The serving sizes are huge and prices are reasonable. My only complaint is that the servings are so big, it’s hard to eat it fast enough before it melts! This is our third time in Cocoa Beach and we’ve been to the Fat Donkey each time.

Place is super cool. Kids working there are very nice but they definitely need help. I love the different take on desserts and that they are open pretty late.

A donkey by the beach...say what? Ok, ice cream is ice cream but not so much after this locale. This has some serious thought given to the recipes. Wow. Hot and humid- weather is forgotten. Walk up family friendly delicious way to end a day. Great service on Sunday night...Amen. Have dessert before dinner.

I don’t think it lived up to the hype. I had their key lime/vanilla soft serve/ strawberry dessert, and my wife had a “churro” ice cream sandwich. I don’t know what the heck the “churro” was, but it wasn’t a churro, more. cinnamon cardboard. It was tough as HECK!I won’t be backThe band next door was great but it made it super hard to hear when your order is called!

One of our favorite ice cream shops across the country, and we've visited a lot of shops! Every flavor is delicious (we have our favorites, of course), but after coming here on various trips over a 24 month period, I can share they're consistent too! If you're in the area, you absolutely will not regret stopping here

Amazing Treat after a long day at the beach! Ice cream was rich and creamy.
