So cool. 2 bay gas station- repair shop turned into restaurant. Very nice back area. Private party was going on so didn't take photos, but large, spread out, and inviting. Food was outstanding with large portions. Dog friendly. I suggest checking this place out, glad I did. I had the shrimp and grits. So good I dove right in, so photo is near the completion.
We’ve been visiting Cocoa Beach for 40 years and this is our favorite restaurant by far. They have a creative chef and snappy service. We make it a point to return each time we’re in town. I was taken aback by the “here’s the check, sir” and “do you want an extra drink, sir?” What am I, chopped liver? With all the cool “choose love” shirts the staff wear, the attitude is very fifties, very much southern ethos.
Indoor and outdoor dining. Lunchtime was busy. We were party of 6 and all ordered differently. Nothing was a great dish. It was o.k. food. One Caesar salad was warm and limp. Just as an example. Drinks were o.k. prices for the beach area. Pet friendly.
My husband and I went at around 2pm on a Saturday and were seated immediately. We had the pretzel to start, never thinking we'd finish it but we ate the entire thing! The outside garden was very pretty and the service friendly and efficient. We shared the Cuban sandwich and bulgogi tacos with sides of yucca fries and street corn. Everything was very good and we will return to try one of the over the top desserts, as we left with 1/2 our food which we enjoyed for a light dinner. My husband had a beer and I had iced tea and with tip it came in at around $80, so not cheap by far but a fun once in a while.
I had the Pomblano burger and my wife ordered the Shrimp Poke Bowl. The burger was good, nice and spicy, made me sweat. My wife's Shrimp Poke Bowl-not so great. We don't typically complain about a bad meal, we just never go back. This time I felt the need to leave a review, the shrimp was that bad, and the manager didn't handle it well. After I finished my burger my wife asked me to try the Shrimp because it didn't taste quite right and wanted a second opinion. I tried one and found it barely edible. It tasted like old seafood that you left in the refrigerator too long and should have thrown out probably a day or two ago. It was like reheated old Shrimp. We told the waitress, she was very nice and a good waitress, she apologized and went to tell the manager. So she came back probably parotting what the manager told her that she wished we would have told her earlier so they could have a chance to resolve it. So basically like it was somewhat are fault for not notifying them earlier so they could replace the plate, whatever. She said they would give us a percentage off the plate. When I looked at the bill, they gave us a 10 per cent discount off the Shrimp Poke Bowl plate, a whopping $1.30 off the bill. Big whoop, you have a customer telling you the shrimp is barely edible and that's your decision? Like I said we don't usually complain but the Shrimp was that bad. My wife left some of the Shrimp on the plate and the only reason she ate any of it was she was hungry at the time. I told the waitress the Shrimp probably wasn't stored properly somewhere in the supply chain.
We have heard so many wonderful things about this place since moving to the area a few years ago and we finally went for dinner this evening but our experience wasn’t as great as we were expecting unfortunately. Our server was great, super friendly, quick and efficient but our experience with the atmosphere and the food weren’t so great. The entire time we were getting bit by bugs, it was honestly unbearable to the point that we had to pack up our meals after taking only a few bites. The food was good but nothing fantastic that I would make a special trip to this particular restaurant for. We got the Bratwurst with peppers & onions, some garlic wings and a few of their poke bowls. The bowls had a good flavor to them but were 90% rice and not so much shrimp and or beef. Our appetizer (the wings) came out after our entrées so that was a bummer too. And my last “complaint” is that one of our party members wanted to try their plant based coconut ice cream and they were sold out of it. We were pretty bummed out about the experience in general due to all of the great things we have heard about this place in the past and we took our family from out of town here thinking it would be a hit.
Our server Lexi was outstanding and her suggestions to accommodate regarding food selections for specific needs was on point. The atmosphere is diverse, friendly and a real vacation vibe, and the plates were great portions and DELICIOUS ? A must visit for eats and cocktails. Enjoy because we sure did.
Made it there shortly before breakfast ended. Reagan our server got the order in and everything was great. The outdoor seating has a fun atmosphere. Can't wait to return to try the dinner menu
LOVED this place! It was a great experience and loved the atmosphere. Had a great time with friends and loved the drinks. The only downside is because the ice cream specials did not come with everything the were suppose to and when we brought it to the attention of the waiter, she said they discontinued. She said she isn’t sure why they haven’t taken it off the menu yet.
Had seen this place on other trips but just never made it there. We finally got there today and so glad we did. Food was great and service was just as great. Stacey was wonderful. There’s plenty to select from on the menu. Shrimp poke bowl was delicious. It’s a beach feel place with local friendly atmosphere. Don’t hesitate to stop in.
