They don’t deserve any stars at all. We just walked in Sonny’s in Clermont at 5:30 pm on the 4th of July, 2022. They had a sign that said they close at 6 pm. They just sat a couple, then told us they were closed. As we were walking out 2 more people walked in and they seated them. So we came back in and the lady seating everyone said, “Oh yeah they were on a “waiting list.” What doesn’t know is that the couple they sat, the woman said as was walking in, “Oh no, they are closed.” But again, they say that couple anyway. They do not treat people fairly at this restaurant. This is not acceptable behavior.
I did a call in last month for the family feast for 4 with a side of fries as well as the 3 sides you get. We also Ordered the loaded tots for the appetizer. I did a quick peak and it looked like everything was in the bag. Got home and no loaded tots. I know everyone is short staffed and busy so I just let it go. Did another order and this time checked everything. Was missing my loaded tots, fries and had everything else but then had to wait for the appetizer and fries as all the other food gets cold. Won’t be back!
I understand fathers day is a busy day for restaurants but this was ridiculous. The server was dismissive and only cared about her regulars. The food took forever. The only thing that made up for any of this was the redhead managers apology and sincere remorse. Managers dont usually come check on the guests at this location...hopefully she doesnt start to follow in their footsteps.
It's gotten worse! They no longer serve the nice big ribs anymore and as far as safety, they don't social distance and it was almost empty when we went, yet they put everyone next to each other, with no reason there were plenty of wait staff. When we were seated we had a very nice man take our order and I actually thanked him for wearing a mask, then he took a break and the girl he left us with, was not happy she was there, and of course no mask! Don't think we're going back!
Great place. Nice atmosphere inside. Food was awesome! The BBQ beans and coleslaw were out of this world. The service was great.The only draw back was the restroom. It was a bit nasty.
We're in town for a destination wedding and decided to give this place a try. Kaz was our server and she was great. My pulled pork sandwich was fantastic and everyone else really enjoyed their choices, too. Whether you already live here or are from out of town visiting, definitely stop by Sonny's BBQ!
I was in the restaurant have the meal with my family I am a veteran and a senior citizen use my debit card to pay for my $50 meal the next day 1454 + $50 I was taken off of my card only time anyone touch my card in the last month what does Sonny's restaurant I am in the middle of fighting this it's been a month-long battle and get nowhere I just want to warn all veterans and all seniors be very careful if you go to Sonny's restaurant pay cash if you can
Very impressed with the food!!! I had the brisket grilled cheese and it was AMAZING!!!!
This is the first Sonny's I've been to that served beer. The place smells like beer, so if you like the smell of beer, you'll love it. I don't, and in fact it totally overwhelmed the BBQ fragrance that I look forward to when eating BBQ. Food, as usual was outstanding, service was good, but it seemed to take a long time to get it, probably a shortage of help issue, that most restaurants are suffering from now. A little pricey, but great atmosphere and outstanding waitress.
Best BBQ I have ever had!!
