Decided to check this spot last night and it was good. The restaurant was nice inside and it got packed by the time I was leaving. I order the small ox tail but I felt it was a little pricey for it but I get it, is ox tail. They have alot of options and they all looked great. The rice and peas was good but not a fan of the cabbage. The interior is nicely decorated and gives you the island vibe. Will definitely come back to try different things but if you craving some Jamaican food, definitely hit this spot.

I left a store near by and I was hungry. What to eat around here since I’m not familiar with the area? Looking around I spotted “Bakery”, that’s me, let’s go! They were serving lunch. I saw the cakes, yeah!!!!! But why not try any food? It smelled good, the place was clean and more customers were getting food to go. So I got Chicken Curry for my son, some Beef Patties “mild” since I cannot handle spicy food, and I saw Penne With Shrimp in a cream sauce that got my attention, so I asked for a small portion. When I got home 45 minutes later I had to taste everything. I ate one Beef patties, ok. Tasted the Chicken Curry, great! I tasted the pasta, great! And believe me that small portion had 10 shrimps! 10! Sometimes you go out to eat and you order a shrimp dish and you only see like 5 shrimps, I was surprised! And then I ate the whole slice of Coconut Rum Cake. Later on I had the pasta for dinner, OMG. They are doing an awesome job!!!!! It had a little kick to it, but that I could handle it. It’s spicy but just enough and in a cream sauce, it blends well. I just felt that I had to write a review. I’m not familiar with Caribbean food but everything was really good. If I new this was a chain restaurant I probably would never set a foot in, but I am glad I did. I experienced a new type of food and I really enjoyed. Thumbs up for them! At first I thought it was a family owned business, so I guess they are doing a good job! Keep it up the good work!!!

The worker had no mask on and he coughed into his arm. I get that is the correct way to cough but handling money and CC transactions with no gloves and not washing his hands afterward was disheartening. The food was good actually delicious but I am a little shaky on the hygiene of the worker. when handling food you should wear a mask even though cautions are lowered due to lowered covid.

Quality just continually goes down. As a Jamaican, I know what good Jamaican food should taste like and this is definitely not it. Bought a small cornmeal porridge today and it tasted like cornmeal and water. No vanilla, no condensed milk, no nutmeg, no nothing just water and cornmeal. It was so watery I poured it down my drain and it flowed just like….water. There was probably more water than there was cornmeal. Unacceptable.

Food was ok but a little to spicy hot for me. The server was great made sure we never ran out of something to drink very nice.

Wonderful food, wonderful owner and chef. There menu is simple and the desserts are delicious. They also have a little market and a dining section.

Good affordable Caribbean food! I enjoyed the j*** chicken with rice and peas - but I found the cabbage veggie mix just ok because I prefer a side salad to be raw/less cooked. Really appreciated that the worker asked what pieces of j*** chicken I wanted (leg vs breast / white vs dark meat). While the j*** chicken was cooked well I'd also prefer it to be more seasoned. The oxtail was good. I also tried the veggie patty but was not a fan of the filling mix, the pastry was made with whole wheat (which I liked conceptually) but I didn't like the texture of it - being more soft than flaky. I highly recommend the coconut water they sell - fresh and preservative free with no added sugars! I will definitely return for more j*** chicken meals and coconut water :)

I'm convinced the workers may take home the best pieces of food because they are sure not giving it to the customers. I bought a large Brown stew chicken and all the lady gave me was little pieces of legs. There was some nice pieces right there in front of her but she chose to dig in the gravy and continuously gave me these little pieces of chicken. That's not right. I bought a large for goodness sake. I don't know what else I need to do to get good decent plate of food from the place. The other day I bought a lunch special and I got the same little pieces of chicken. So I said I'm going to buy a large and the same thing happened. They need to stop being stingy with the food. Because the prices that they charge are not stingy at all it is actually more expensive than a lot of other places. If a person buys a large or any other size stop watching the food. Give them a good plate food with good pieces and stop trying to take it home for yourself.

Everytime I’m in Clermont, I have to stop by and get some of the best Jamaican food ever…. They always out of Mac and cheese but everything else is always on point 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for me

Love the spicy patty with coco bread. So happy to find good Caribbean food near me. ???
