Good food, good prices and friendly staff
Varsity club is awesome! Was recommended by a few friends always see them eating burgers from here that look absolutely delicious! I've ate here once before and had a chicken bacon ranch sandwich that I'd rate a 9 out of 10. I'll try to Buffalo chicken egg roll which was a 9.5 out of 10 maybe 9.9!Today I will be trying the Indian Burger which I'm super excited for and was recommended by the awesome bartender jessica! I trust her opinion she definitely knows what she's doing and talking about! She also works so hard, she can only eat her lunch while serving her own customers which is super impressive?The quality of food here is 9.5 out of 10. The menu items all are named after MLB baseball teams at least the hamburgers are which is super cool!The atmosphere and vibe is awesome, all sports related obviously TVs, nice bar, looks like there's some arcade games and stuff to do in the back for kids so this place is also kid-friendly people can bring their kids!Pricing here is the most impressive! aside from the cool bartender! Prices are cheaper than other places I've seen and definitely worth every penny for the quality of food they provide!Overall this place is really really good! I need to eat here more often! I just made a go for myself to try at least everything once on the menu cuz everything looks so good!Awesome job varsity club! Awesome job!Joseph earned a lifelong customer now as long as I'm living here in Clearwater! Please keep up the good work love this place and I've only been inside two or three times!Lastly... Absolutely love everything here. The food always comes out good. Great portions for the prices. Has easily been my favorite sports restaurant for 10+ years. Service has never been bad. My 9nly complaint is that I moved and can no longer go here regularly haha
On 6/14/22 I had an issue with one of the employees that claim to be the manager that denied my service. Prior to my issue, my friend had an issue & the worker hung up on her because she didn’t want to wait while she figured out what flavor wings she wanted. My friend walked into the restaurant to place an order and address being hung up on. She was told by the employee, “she didn’t have time to service her.” Keep in mind there wasn’t anybody in the restaurant but one person so yeah, time is definitely all she had. She threatened to call the police for no apparent reason. She’s definitely a “KAREN”. Oh here’s a photo of the employee since she refused to give me her name.
Always liked this place. Prices have gone way up. Bill was 60 bucks for three people. 3 sandwiches, an app and one draft. Friendly staff but the place could use a good cleaning. Looks and smells dirty. Food still good. FYI wings will set you back about 1.35 per wing.Ouch.
In regards to “Shamaine and Brittany’s” lengthy, poorly worded, run on sentence reviews… you came into my job being extremely rude, calling me a racist “cracker” and yelling at me for what seemed to last longer than a toddlers tantrum. Yes, I absolutely refused service. You called me and then told me to hold on so you could continue to eat food in my ear while talking to someone else by you. I said call back when you had your order ready. I never said I was the owner or manager, I repeated I was the only one working. Maybe you don’t work so you didn’t understand that term? Then when you continued to call and give different names but the caller ID gave it away each time…I got a good laugh out of that. Not sure when I supposedly “called the cops” but I don’t think they could have done anything for you, since I have the right to refuse service… I’m glad you’ve decided against coming back to eat from the place you swore you called all the time… and put people on hold. That way we have more time for customers who aren’t quite as rude. Speaking for anyone that works in the industry… please don’t call anywhere at all and expect someone to wait for you to decide on what you want. Stay classy! -Karen
DO NOT EAT HERE!! I called to place a to go order and I ask the employee to give me one second because my friend ordered wings that I never had before and I wasn’t sure of the flavor this employee who would not give me her name hung up on me in my face within 22 seconds of our conversations I was outside at the time because my friend had just ordered so I than walk in to place my order I ask her why did she hang up she said she don’t have time to hold and it was only one customer who already had their food eating inside she than stated it. Was common sense to not call in to a restaurant and ask someone to hold. I than ask her why was she so rude what was her problem and may I speak with her manager and have her name she stated she was the manager and she own the place and I couldn’t get her name and she also refused my service and stated that’s why you want those wings that your not getting.so I decided to take a picture of her so I can leave a review. She is very nasty and very rude she should not be working at a customer service job if she does not have patience let alone great communication skills I love varsity club but I will no longer spend my money with them due to this reason
The food was delicious and service was great. It was just very dark and hidden. I've lived here for 3 years 1/4 mile away. And would never have known it existed. Was a very good find.
Been coming here for 3-4 years; Everything has been good. Good food and service. We had a server tonight that made our experience amazing. Regina was what made a difference in our night. Great hospitality, timely and precise. Amazing sports bar with a big screen and surround sound.GOBOLTS!
Great wings! Even their boneless wings are good. Love their grilled chicken salad especially when it's chopped! Great family restaurant, great for catching the game too.
