My husband stopped by this restaurant to pick up Sushi for takeout. If you are looking for the perfect sushi place, this is not your place. We are new to the area and decided to give Saki a try. The rolls small and not the best quality. They didn't taste very good either. We will not be back to Saki for sushi and will continue to find the best sushi in Clearwater.
A solid 4 stars! Another one of those rare fines in the strip center, don’t let the outside for you! Good in the service was fine as well. Here’s a hint get there before 5 PM for after 7 PM as they get very busy and it’s a small restaurant. Everything is made to order, try the specialty rolls, the coconut shrimp, and the pan fried dumplings! Worth the drive from Largo or Tampa! $23.99 for adults and $20.99 for those of us over 60!
The only thing that was half decent were the "Japanese noodles" but even those were very bland and flavorless. The hot and sour soup was slimy and very thick , honestly it felt like trying to consume an oil spill. The clear soup was flavorless, yet somehow still too salty. The sushi options are very limited, and while it might seem like a lot at first glance, once you read it you'll realize every sushi option contains the same thing exact ingredients - krab or shrimp, avocado, cucumber, and cream cheese. The chicken was so extremely tough and greasy, did not even have a good flavor. I definitely will not be coming back ever, and I can't even attest to good service because it is seriously subpar.
We loved all the different sushi rolls we tried. Highly recommend if you are a sushi fan in the clear water beach area!
Very bland food. Two wontons in the wonton soup and the wonton was more bland. I had to add yum yum sauce to make it edible. The shrimp hibachi was saturated in water like soup. Only upside lots of shrimp. $90 dollar gone. Ordered a volcano roll and it was not delivered with my order. I will not being repeating this mistake.
Nice little place with great prices. My wife and I stopped for lunch today and had the all you can eat. Sushi. Every bit that we had was fantastic, came out promptly, and was well prepared. Staff is friendly and polite. Will definitely hear again
Pretty good quality food each time I've gone. I usually get some form of sushi with Miso Soup. My only complaint is a slightly long wait time for food, but I understand that they may be short-staffed. Else wise, excellent customer service, and delicious food for the price.
Best to come as a small group or smaller... Tight fit post covid...butt listen if u like to order buffett.....i dare you...try it!!
Saki is a good restaurant to pick when you want decent sushi at a reasonable price. The only downside is that it is usually fairly crowded. Not just busy, but the tables are relatively close together. They have multiple tempura options as well as fried rolls and a fish-free sweet potato roll that is pretty good. They also have appetizers and other non-sushi food, but I go for the sushi.
Ordered out couple of times. This time it was horrible. Chicken cut like dog treats and tasted like it. Won't go back.
