Good food if you can get it. Kitchen was backed up so they wouldn’t seat us. Asked to be seated for drinks and they said we could order at the bar and sit in a chair but not at any of the numerous empty tables. Asked to speak to a manager and none would talk to us. We were told 15 minute wait when we got there. Half hour later after we asked twice we were told it would be at least another 15 to 20 minutes so we left. Not going back any time soon. Mad that they’re opening a new restaurant when they can’t manage this one.
Was not busy but waited at least 10 mins without any drinks or menus offered. At first I figured short staffed. We ended up leaving because my kid was super hungry and we couldn’t wait anymore. As we walked out there were about 6 staff just standing hanging out at the host stand. Maybe they were training. I don’t know but we were unsatisfied. And it was hot af inside.
Excellent food and atmosphere. The trio was delicious! Ribs, shrimp and jerk wings… I’m drooling just from the memory. The Calamari is some of the best I’ve had, and the dipping sauce served with them is amazing! The server and gentleman who answered the phone were very friendly and informative. If you’re in the area give this establishment a try. You will not regret it.
Fantastic place. Took my wife and her friends there for her birthday and it was awesome. Delicious food and drinks. Party of 9 with Military discount bill was only $210. I will definitely come back. Great choices for food. Their Shrimp Firecracker appetizer was amazing
the decision to eat at Rumba came from constantly passing by it, hearing the music, seeing the people enjoying themselves etc but never actually stopping by ;So tonight we did. Emily was our server and she was great. She was attentive, fast on her feet , gave great recommendations, and made us feel comfortable with her knowledge of the menu. My parents really enjoyed their dinner, which is always a plus. We also loved the complimentary muffins that are first served to you while you’re waiting ☺️ Considering all things Rumba is in Clearwater, so if you love seafood this place has quite the variety for you! Including ongoing specials too. I gave this place three stars due to the prices and lack of vegetarian options. I had the veggie quesadilla, which was really a nice recommendation from our server Emily. I enjoyed it. It’s a whole vibe in their outdoor area with live music on select nights, outdoor heaters to keep you warm from the breeze, and cute dining tables and chairs to match the entire tropical theme. This place would be perfect for date night or even just meeting with friends or family.

While touring western Florida we asked a local where to eat and he answered without thinking for one second - "Go to Rumba!!", which we did. There was a waiting line outside (usually a good sign) even though it was in the middle of the week and at 5pm...... After about 20 minutes we were taken to our table. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. We started with Firecracker Shrimps and Stuffed Jalapenos. Both were great. For mains we took Rum and Pineapple marinated Chicken and Stuffed Mahi Mahi. Both were freshly prepared and delicious. For dessert we shared an excellent Key Lime Pie. All this went down with a couple of cocktails (The lady) and some local IPA (Yours truly). Excellent Restaurant!! Great Service!! Great Food!!
Loved the mini corn muffins with cinnamon& butter free starter. I enjoyed the Artisan Butcher burger for $13.99 which was medium but charred on the outside. My mom had the classic Jamaican jerk grilled chicken for $15.99.
Other than having to re-order a few times (because the dishes I ordered containted a spice I am highly allergic to) the food was fantastic. Our waitress was so helpful and accommodating to my allergy issue and helped me to pick something that I would be able to eat with no issues. The service was great and the food as I said, was fantastic. I highly recommend this restuarant.
I last visited the rumba on a family trip over 10 years ago. It was our favourite spot then and it didn’t disappoint when I visited recently with my husband. It was worth the short drive out of the Clearwater beach area. They had great drink specials and have complimentary cornbread muffins. We had fried green tomatoes to start and I had an island rice bowl and subbed in coconut shrimp. My husband had ribs which he really liked. Lots of options for sides. Their patio is very enjoyable!
