Food was GREAT, service was seriously lacking. I'm not sure if they're understaffed or people didn't show up for work, but the first time we tried to go, they'd closed the dining room. The next day, I ordered online to pick up at the counter at a certain time. When we got there, the front door was locked, and another guy said he'd been waiting for 30 minutes outside for his food. I started knocking on the door really hard, which got their attention inside, and they came to the door after a few minutes. They had the guy's order, and brought mine out shortly thereafter.All that said, our order was delicious! Like, so good.
we get there and wait for 5 minutes for them to take our order, and we order, I wanted the garlic sauce with my bowl so we ask for that and they don't acknowledge it, so we ask if they got that, they say yes we have the sauce down for your order, we pull up, pay, and wait 10 minutes for our order while the people working are just chatting and stuff and don't even look understaffed, we get our food, get home, and guess what!!! no sauce, so now I'm eating a dry bowl
I used love eating Pollo Tropical and I have been eating Pollo Tropical for over 20 years. This location is the worst ever. The food was absolutely horrible and cooked without any care to quality. The fried yucca was so hard and stale, we couldn't eat it. The chicken seemed undercooked. I no longer will eat at this location again. This is definitely poor management. As a matter of fact, I don't know if I want to eat at any Pollo Tropical anymore. I'm very disappointed.
I usually go to the Pinellas Park location and food is always great each visit. I decided to try the Gulf to Bay location and the food is not great at all. Super dry chicken and the Mac n cheese is dry and burnt.
Food was good. They need to fix their online ordering system as the only drink you can pick for combos (without paying more) is a Diet Coke. They also did not give me my fries for my combo nor any sauces that was asked for so now I have to go back. I tried to call but no one picks up.
2/22/22 absolutely the worst customer service ive ever experienced!! I was completely ignored by three different staff members after waiting on my mobile order for over 20 mins! Each employee I tried to politely ask if my order was almost ready or if they ever even received it none of them helped or even acknowledged me at all. Oh and it gets better ! At the counter where you pick up food for go orders there were abets all over it..i love pollo tropical but I dont suggest this one at all!!!

I understand fast food places are busy, and I don't mind waiting the 20min that I did. I ordered a Cuban, Chicken bowl thing and a key lime pie. Does this look like a $3.19 piece of pie to you? Is this acceptable? It wasn't even a full piece, they just threw a busted piece of pie in a box! And the Tropichop bowl was all over the place as well. UGH!!
Really enjoyed the food but really unhappy with the mobile order pickup. My food took 20 minutes beyond the time it was due. And they were serving multiple customers who came in and ordered while I was standing there. Not very happy. Though I feel for them since they have a sign on the door saying the room is closed due to labor shortage.
This was FIRST TIME and I thought it was a bit of a mixed bag. First off, the chicken is delicious! With Pollo in their name, it ought to be! I found it amazingly moist for this kind of situation, it would have been easy to let it get dry during holding, I'd come back for that anytime. The beans and rice were a whole different story, though. I found them essentially flavorless, just filler. I wouldn't waste the calories next time, I'd choose another side.
