I've ordered from here many times. Always delicious, but this time NOT so.Wrong pizza toppings on our 2 small pizzas.I did a pick up.I called the store, complained. I wanted a credit for their mistake.He didn't agree.White pie- broccoli &mushrooms ended up to be RED SAUCE BROCCOLI AND MUSHROOMS ... YUKThe white pie had pepperoni on it.. WTH????SO NOT RIGHT.
We love Monty's! Eleanora and Scott are fantastic people and run a nice mom and pop restaurant. Their food is good and the service is good. It's nice to see them keeping busy with lots of customers...just a really good place to eat. Their pizza is good and lots of topping choices. They also offer a nice variety of lunch and dinner choices, salads and desserts.
Anyone who works in Customer Service needs to take an example from Monty's. On our first order there we had phoned in an order for a pizza with pepperoni and meatball. It was made with pepperoni and mushroom, which unfortunately some in my family have an allergy to. They re-made it correctly and right away. And for our first pizza from them, it was absolutely delicious!
This place was our go-to. All throughout 2020/2021. When everything was shutdown.I don't know what happened but it's been quite a let down the past 10+ times we have ordered. Scott didn't want me using my debit card for delivered food. *it costs him too muchI understood, stopped ordering delivery with my debit card. Now I order with cash.We live within walking distance so it's not usually such a bother to walk over and pick it up.But, due to some health issues it's not always possible. Tonight I placed my order, walked over, paid cash ($13.00+ tip) for chicken parmesan dinner, and left. I was carrying the produce I purchased from John's Produce in my backpack also. Once home, and ready to eat I opened the brown bag and found chicken in sauce, hardly any cheese and ZERO spaghetti. I called over. The waitress who answered told me to come back for it. I told her to have somebody bring it. Two holds later, after getting ahold of Scott for approval, they sent the delivery guy over with some spaghetti. "Thank You delivery man."I would like to say that this is the first time this has happened, but it's not.The place had two people inside dining. It was not busy at all.Also, the quality of the food has diminished as well. Watery pasta sauce, and little of it. Old lettuce, old hard boiled eggs, in the [once great] chef salad. I am sorry to review so harshly but man what a huge let down it's been as of late.There's always a Help Needed sign in the window. Read into that how you may.Giving Monty's 3 stars, and a break.
This is by far my favorite pizzeria in Florida. I haven't been to them all, but in the greater Clearwater/ Tampa Bay area, I pretty much have. The pizza is comforting like many pizzas I've had at old school Italian restaurants all over the country. The salads are fresh, the dough is crisp and chewy, the drinks are cold. It's really great. The prices are also more than fair.Monty's is a must try... ??
This is a great restaurant. We love their food and use their delivery service all the time. They are so efficient with orders and your food arrives hot. Their chicken pie pizza is amazing! If you want great food, quantity and great prices you should be trying Monty's!
