To book tee times from Cove Cay you have to book it on their website, which apparently goes through another service provider called GolfNow. We booked a tee time here, it was rained out and the course was not able to be played. Called the Pro Shop and was told they could not help me get a raincheck for their course, that they "did not have my money" and I would need to go to GolfNow to figure it out. Told me "I should have read the disclaimer in the email" and was extremely unhelpful, borderline rude. The disclaimer that I received AFTER booking. Wild that a business only offers tee times through another provider, but won't support the tee times or deal with rainchecks. Won't play here again.
Wife, Brother and I played while on vacation this year. Play it every year when we’re in town. Course was in amazing condition even with temporary tees on the front nine while work was being done on the permanent Tees. Absolutely love this course. Staff was very friendly and the carts are amazingly Comfortable. Can not wait to go back!!!
First off....Pat is just a really good person. While I don't play golf, it looks like a beautiful Golf course. The banquet hall is overlooking a beautiful view. Can't wait to have our casino night here with the Central Pinellas Chamber of commerce. #TeamCocco approved
First time. Very nice course. Staff was friendly. Nice views. Clubhouse grill service was not good afterwards. Had to leave to go elsewhere to eat. Bartender decided to wait on people who came after us. No apologies. I would still recommend the course course.
I'd give this course a 4 except they are currently rebuilding many of the tee boxes AND the greens were recently aerated and grown out a bit. Layout is challenging and a lot of fun. We will be back once they have finished up the rework of the tees.
Do not wast your money at this course if you don’t live within the community. Plenty of other courses in much better condition in the area for a more reasonable price. Have played here 5-6 times thinking I’ll have a better experience but have been disappointed every time. Will not be back unless ownership changes.
Played 5.22 Course is nice and warm up range nice. My issue was the initial check in and the staff member was border line rude and definitely made me feel like it didn't matter if I played there or not. We wanted a club rental and new there was a $20 an $40, so I asked if I could see them to pick, and the answer was a straight faced "NO". I was shocked, but leading up to this had been a difficult check in and not wanting to be confrontational we took the $40. The whole interaction was unfriendly and no smiles. I belong to a country club back home so I know the gig but really.......I wont play there again I was looking for a site with condos to buy and course to play.L. S.
Enjoyed golfing here until I inquired about the inflated pricing this time of year via Facebook messenger and I was met with hostility and anger for even asking about it.Mangroves and Chi Chi’s are easily $20 cheaper per round no matter the time of day.Maybe find someone new to manage your social media. Not a good look especially when I would spend the money to golf here 3x’s a week during season… and now, because of the hostility, I will not.
Prices are way to high for the season. And customer service is disturbingly disrespectful when asked about the inflated prices. Don’t waste your money or time.
All in all, the course itself was pretty fun, challenging if you're not on your A -game. However, the course was way over priced for how the greens were in rough shape and my golf cart basically died at the beginning of the back 9
