Our first visit - we celebrated my 65th birthday and Father’s Day this evening with a simply amazing dinner. Taz was an amazing waiter and the food was so delicious! I had the Chilean sea bass with a side of havarti potato soufflé and my husband had the Colorado lamb shank. Everything was so delicious! Carreta’s is a must if you visit Clearwater Beach or are blessed like we are to live here!
Devin was the perfect host. His enthusiasm when describing each menu item made me want to try everyone one. Awesome ocean views and the vibe is on point for a great time. Food was spot on delicious and the menu was creative and not overwhelming. The restaurant is beautiful and the live music was awesome. I will definitely be back.
Great food great views relaxing and beautiful
On 05/25/2022 at around 10p.m my colleagues and I visited this beautiful and serene location of clearwater. It was the first time my friends had a fine dining experience and I wanted to generously reward them for their hard work. I wanted to specifically highlight a specific employee during our visit to Caretta On The Gulf by the name of Laura C. She formally greeted us as our waitress once we were seated and explained various dishes offered by the restaurant that evening when we had questions concerning what to try and what entrees, appetizers and main courses would go together. Not to mention the ingredients in them when my friends nonetheless curiously asked her. Her guidance was clear and concise. She was extremely kind and respectful. She was also consistent making sure if there was anything we needed. She made the overall dining experience truly a blessing and more so a memorable visit that I and my fellow gentlemen will never forget. I want to let Caretta On The Gulf know also as Law Enforcement Officer myself that this restaurant has an asset in the form of Laura and I sincerely hope her dedication and commitment of service does not go unnoticed.
Delicious food and can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Nate was our server and was such a pleasure, awesome attitude and made the evening really nice.

The food and view were both amazing. We got in very easily on a Tuesday evening for dinner. Nate was our server and was super generous and quick with service and answering our questions about the menu. Will definitely be coming back next time we are in town.
The entire experience was excellent. Nate was our server, and he provided the perfect level of service. He seemed to have a sixth sense regarding when to let our table carry on with conversation and when to inquire about orders or drinks. And Nate's recommendations did not disappoint. Exceptional food paired with top-shelf service make this a must visit for anyone in the area.

Nate, our server, was amazing. He made our honeymoon visit so wonderful and memorable. We had been to Carretta’s for our first date and returned on our honeymoon. Both experiences were awesome.
