Went by 4.3 star rating and ordered egg fried rice and we got just egg and rice..no veggies. Just plain rice with eggs. It was almost closing time order and if they dont have time they should not take it. But if this is what they serve for a simple egg fried rice then not worth even 1 star. Very disappointed but had no choice..we were hungry and no time to fight.Responding after owner's reply...egg fried rice is with at least beans and carrots in almost every Asian restaurant I have tried. If this is any different for Asian Pearl there should be some description. Your menu does not have any description for any items. If I saw egg fried rice is just egg and rice I would not have ordered it.
1st time customers. Was told by friends to try this place. Good service. Fried dumplings were very crispy with a delicious dipping sauce. My wife ordered the house lo mein. Very good. I ordered orange beef extra spicy. Beef was cooked nicely with a gooey sauce which was very good, but had absolutely no orange taste. Food was better than the average cookie cutter Chinese restaurant, but portions were much smaller. I will return for another dine in meal, but will stick to my local staple for take out.
I had an excellent meal here last month. I had plum wine, small Shanghai dumpling, and honey walnut shrimp. I was very hungry and finished them all! The dumplings were small but full of flavor. The sauce on the honey walnut shrimp was balanced, not too much mayo and not too sweet. I also appreciated the shrimp and broccoli ratio. The service was good as well. I can't believe I've waited so long to try this place, I'll have to come back to try their other dishes.
Very good restaurant and fast service. The chicken curry was outstanding and they even added extra heat at my request. Definitely will go back as it's a big notch above the standard Asian takeout places. Well worth the effort to get there.
We drove 15 miles twice to eat at this place. Their food is amazing and reasonably priced. You got to definitely try their beef dishes they are so good.We tried their crispy coconut milk balls which we never had before and was mindblown. We had them there and took takeout too ? There are a lot of tasty vegetarian options too . I love this place and will definitely go back .
Definitely delicious food and efficient service. Everything we tried was very good. My wife IS NOT a fan of Chinese food but she enjoyed the wonton soup, steamed vegetables and the seafood fried rice with XO sauce, it was outstanding! My eggrolls were crispy with fresh filling. The general Tso chicken had nice white meat chunks with a light batter and a nice spicy/sweet sauce. Living in Dunedin we really can't find good Chinese restaurants, so a quick trip I to Clearwater is definitely worth it!
Dated converted American restaurant with minimal modifications, but they have the best Chinese food in the St Pete – Clearwater area. The high rating is because it is the best in the area, but not the best I’ve ever had.The tofu and noodles here are fresh, and taste homemade.The vegetable & tofu dish is excellent, as well as many of the noodle dishes. One of my favorite dishes is the salt and pepper pork chop.The service and food presentation were decent, and restaurant was clean. The prices here are reasonable and the food is very consistent.The atmosphere is very subdued and could be improved with a little background music, and maybe more lively / modern decoration.
Their soup dumplings are yummy and called shanghai dumplings. Their food is super fresh!!
Tasty food, good portions. I would definitely return if I was in the area. It was mildly annoying that our bill had tip suggestions of 18, 20 and 25 percent ON THE TAX as well as on the food and beverage. A better facility offers appropriate tipping on food and beverage totals only....are they going to send the tax collected on the tip to the state? Also, a better facility offers 15, 18 and 20 percent. As a former waitress, details like this annoy me...a lot.
Asian Pearl is the real deal. Great food, reasonable prices and exceptional service. I drive 5 miles for takeout and it is well worth it. Do yourself a favor and see just how delicious Chinese food can be. Tina and Steve are awesome!
